I found this in a lucky box, and even though it's for men, I tried it since I had no one to give it to. As a stick lip balm, it's not incredibly moisturizing, but among the stick lip balms I've used, it's fairly good in terms of hydration. It doesn't leave a white cast or feel slippery after application, so it's fine to apply lightly before or after lipstick. When I swatched it on the back of my hand, there was a slight reddish tint, but it wasn't very noticeable when applied to the lips. The red color is in the center of the lip balm, which might look a bit odd if it comes out too pigmented. However, the intense color in the center is just a tint added to the lip balm formula, so it looks natural and would be good for men to use. It adds a subtle vitality to your lips without being excessive. The simple case design makes it convenient to carry around. It feels a bit greasy at first, leaving a slightly shiny finish, so I apply it very gently and sparingly. The applicator has a slanted edge, and you need to apply it following that angle. Compared to regular lip balms, this one doesn't fall short in any way! It has a tinted core in the center, which gives you a more natural, lively look than using a plain colorless lip balm. As someone who's only ever used colorless or Nivea cherry lip balms, this feels like it strikes a nice balance. It's like having a red lip balm nestled between colorless ones, breathing a natural vitality into your lips. It gives a very natural look. Like most lip balms, it doesn't last very long and needs frequent reapplication. Also, it doesn't give a dramatic effect, so if that's what you're after, I'd recommend getting a lip balm with more color payoff.

I bought it for him because his lips often crack and bleed in winter, and he applied it diligently last winter. My husband usually dislikes sticky products, so the fact that he consistently used this one suggests it must be great at caring for chapped lips and providing good hydration! Although there's a red color in the middle of the lip balm, it barely shows up on the lips. I really liked the design, and it held its shape well until I finished using it. The color payoff and moisturizing effect were a bit disappointing. My lips felt dry soon after application, so I found myself reapplying frequently.
