It applies incredibly thin and smooth. It feels like it has powder in it? I love how a single thin layer can make such a difference in expression. The color payoff is great, making the tube itself look beautiful. I think it would be perfect for light-skinned individuals in summer, likely to stay put without budging. However, this formula didn't really suit me... During my color analysis, when a worn-out Flat Out Fabulous came out of my makeup bag, the consultant immediately said, 'Velvet Punch! It's Velvet Punch! Remember that!' So I waited for it to restock and snagged it, but something feels off... The formula is thin and tends to roll around on the lips. It works if you apply multiple layers as a full lip, but the moment any pressure is applied to the lips, it easily slides off. The matte formula isn't overly dry, but instead feels light, thin, and comfortable on the lips with a soft, powdery finish. As a winter cool-toned person with shade 13, I find the distinctly cool color tone blends seamlessly with my complexion without looking out of place. While the staying power might not be as long-lasting as other matte formulas, I honestly couldn't find any other drawbacks worth mentioning.
