I'm someone with a light-muted undertone! I bought this after watching a YouTube video about mauve lipsticks. It's my go-to lip color for creating a calm, muted makeup look. I typically do an overall muted makeup, apply this MAC Laberrune as a base, and finish with Bobbi Brown's Lilac shade. It's an excellent lipstick to use as a base. Due to its powdery texture, if you apply it without exfoliating your lips first, it can settle into lip lines! I recommend exfoliating to remove dead skin cells before application.

The official description of 'yellow-pink' is spot on. Great base shade for those with high brightness skin who don't lean too warm or cool! If highly saturated colors don't suit you alone, use this as a base for gradients to improve wearability and create a beautiful lip look. It's also great for overlining to correct lip shape! Even though I'm cool-toned and it's slightly warm, the high brightness makes it work well for me without issues. It's versatile and easy to use! ■Texture: This is my first time trying a Powder Kiss lipstick formula, and matte lovers will adore its thin, smooth application! It's not dry at all, which I really appreciate. It's much easier to apply than MAC's classic matte - definitely praiseworthy! ■Longevity/Adherence: The adherence is good for a matte, but to improve transfer resistance, blot with a tissue a few times for amazing staying power. For longevity, blot and set the lip line with eyeshadow - no transfer when drinking! Overall, longevity and adherence depend on your application technique. ■Value for Money: Haha, I'm thrilled I got it at a great outlet price! At this price point, the value is unbeatable. With its color payoff and quality texture, I highly recommend the Powder Kiss line to matte lipstick lovers! Those with very dry, flaky lips must exfoliate first! Not recommended for those who don't suit nude shades! Works wonderfully as a base lip color!

It pairs well with any color when layered. You might be familiar with NARS lip pencil combinations like Famous Red and Get Off. Get Off tends to sell out much faster than Famous Red! I discovered this color while searching for a dupe of the mini Get Off, and it's quite similar! While the swatch on hands and feet has a slight pink tone, the lip color is almost identical to Get Off. I didn't realize there were so many harmful ingredients in this! Unfortunately, as it's a matte lip product, it may accentuate dead skin cells. Apply lip balm for proper care before using. As a matte lip product, it has a similar application to the NARS Crayon Lip Pencil! The MAC product is slightly cheaper. If you've used the Famous Red and Get Off combination and are looking for a shade similar to Get Off, give this one a try.
