I was looking for a gentle and moisturizing cleansing product for the fall season, and I ended up purchasing this after visiting a Lush store. Scent: The fragrance is soft and subtle, not overbearing. Cleansing power: I use it as my morning and evening second cleanse, and it's just the right amount of cleansing for me. Moisturization: This is the best part. My skin feels moisturized after cleansing, which is important for my dry skin type as most foaming cleansers tend to leave my skin feeling tight. I haven't experienced any dryness with this product.
ConsThe expiration date is short. It has a shelf life of only 3 months after manufacturing, and since I bought the smaller size, I'll likely use it up right around the 3-month mark.

It's less drying than the cleanser I used to use, and thanks to the calamine powder, my breakouts are soothed by the time I wake up after using this for cleansing.
ConsIt's a shame that Lush products have such a short shelf life. At least when buying online, they last 2-3 months, but buying in-store, it's only about a month. But in my experience, the offline products seem to be more moisturizing.
Tip(23.08.29 addition) Before doing your makeup, I recommend using a different cleanser instead of Aqua Marina. The powder can cause clogged pores and breakouts. (23.08.24 addition) For oily skin types with active sebum production, I recommend trying a combination of calamine powder and a soothing or antioxidant serum. It's great for refining skin texture and improving complexion!!

It feels like a transparent film has been applied to my skin, almost like a boiled egg's surface! ✔️My skin is very sensitive, so I can't use just any mild product, but since most of the ingredients are natural, there's no irritation, which is great. Any breakouts I had also calmed down while using this!
Cons✔️The high price, which I think is the biggest downside of Lush products...? ✔️The cleansing power is almost negligible. It's good as a final rinse after cleansing. ✔️Having to scoop it out with your hands is inconvenient and raises some hygiene concerns. ✔️It doesn't rinse off as well as other cleansing products, so you need to do more thorough cleansing. ✔️It has a unique fragrance that may bother those sensitive to scents.
TipFor those like me who experience tightness after cleansing, this is probably the best product out there!

No matter how much I changed my skincare routine to more hydrating toners, lotions, serums, and creams, I couldn't fundamentally get rid of the milia or improve my skin texture. But in the end, the answer was in cleansing... Switching to a more moisturizing cleansing milk and aqua marina-like cleansers completely eliminated the milia! Aside from a few pimples on my chin when I'm tired, my skin has improved a lot. ㅜㅜ I thought my diet might be the issue, so I cut out flour and tried to avoid too much meat to prevent inflammation, which was really difficult. But this product and the Greek Lightning Catastrophe pack have been very helpful!
ConsIt's a bit inconvenient to use since you have to peel it off by hand, but considering the benefits, this level of inconvenience is no problem at all. I've spent so much money at the dermatologist, getting steroid injections and extractions...

When I looked in the mirror right after washing, my skin was so bright. I will repurchase this! The scent is also very nice and there is no tightness.
ConsThe disappointing point is that it does not contain surfactants, so the cleansing power is weak.
TipIt's perfect for secondary cleansing or morning cleansing.

The seasonal skin changes are extremely severe, so I always look for mild products, and I'm very concerned about drying out during cleansing. However, I've been using Aquamarina for 2 years and it's been great. First of all, calamine powder helps with soothing. It's really the best when my skin is sensitive. I hardly wear makeup and use an easy-to-remove sunblock, so I just wipe with cleansing tissues and go straight to this for cleansing without a primary wash. The mud absorbs oil and the fine salt helps regulate the dead skin. So when I rinse it off, the dirt comes out. I think it's because there was some built-up dead skin. It's not always like that, just occasionally, and after that, my skin feels soft. Even without obvious granules like Angels or Herbalism, the fine salt seems to do its job sufficiently. The oil is also well absorbed, so the cleansing power doesn't seem bad to me. The manager at the massage shop I go to said that the mud absorbs oil better than the foaming ingredients in cleansers, so there's no need for a lot of lather. She even said it could potentially be too drying... So you don't need to worry about the cleansing power due to the usage experience.
ConsI'm sure it's similar for everyone, but Lush Korea is too expensive.... They say there are a lot of complaints from Korean people about the seaweed clogging the drain, so they're only using the extracts, but Lush in the UK or Japan has the actual seaweed. Do people in other countries have some special drainage system that doesn't get clogged? That's why I just order it directly. Compared to Angels or Herbalism, it's less moisturizing... The calamine powder leaves a powdery residue after cleansing. At first, I felt like the cleansing wasn't complete because of that, but I've completely adapted to it now. But it may be unpleasant for some people.
TipFor those who find it drying, mixing in a few drops of oils like jojoba or olive will make it a bit more moisturizing. Wetting your face a little and gently massaging it will help the exfoliation work better...You can leave it on for about a minute, but the salt may sting a bit. You can rinse it off, but you can also just apply it directly to your already wet face and spread it around - this is more convenient for me. When ordering from the UK, it sometimes comes wrapped in seaweed, and the seaweed can get mixed in. The seaweed is slimy, so when you rub it, it just tears apart, so you don't need to worry about the drain. The issue is when it comes with dried seaweed (like nori). I just chop up the nori with scissors and mix it well into the paste. As the paste gets more moisture, the nori gets more and more slimy over time. In that state, when you rub it on your face, it completely disintegrates. In Korea, the expiration is 3 months after manufacturing, but the UK ones say "best used by". You can use it a month or two past the stated expiration date with no problem at all. At first, I was obsessed with using it within the expiration, and would waste it by using it on my body when it was close to expiring... But the staff said the mud has natural preservatives, so it's fine even 4 months later. And Aquamarina has salt in it too! So I just used it slowly, and it was perfectly fine even 5 months later. You don't need to stress too much about the expiration date.

Since it's made from ingredients that people can eat, it seems to be good for me. There's no tightness or stickiness, and it's moisturizing!!! I plan to keep using it! I really feel like my skin has gotten better when I use it in the morning and evening. And I think the scent is nice, and there's no residue left behind.
ConsIt's really good, but...the expiration date is short ㅠㅠ It only lasts about a month And the price is a bit expensive compared to the amount (I paid 42,000 won, but it seems like I can't use it for a month ㅠㅠ) And this doesn't seem to be a makeup remover cleanser at all!! It's best to use it to completely remove makeup and rinse it off as a final step, or on days when you're not wearing makeup, or use it instead of soap in the morning!
TipI think it's even better if you keep it in the refrigerator and use it cool!

As someone with atopic dermatitis, dehydrated, and sensitive skin, this formula feels much more comfortable and moisturizing compared to other types. •This seems to really help soothe my skin when I'm dealing with breakouts or atopic issues.
Cons•It's not the most budget-friendly option. •Like many Lush products, the shelf life isn't as long as you might expect. Be sure to check the expiration date, especially if buying in bulk. •It seems the product is now made in Japan, not just the UK.
Tip•I use this to remove my makeup first, then as a second cleanse. It's the only product I use for my morning cleanse. •I often end up with dried white residue around the hairline from not rinsing thoroughly enough after cleansing. Make sure to really rinse the product out completely, all the way to the edges of your forehead.

ConsIf there was even a little bit of oil on my face, that area wouldn't get properly cleansed and would turn white...
TipAfter wiping my face with cleansing water, the next step didn't leave any whitening effect, and my skin felt moisturized~!

It is not a foaming cleanser and does not have strong cleansing power, so I use it as a morning cleanser or second cleanse. It needs to be diluted with water, so some skill is required. I spray warm water and rub it in the palms of my hands before applying it directly to my skin. It has good moisturizing properties, so my skin does not feel tight, and thanks to the calamine powder, my skin has significantly improved and calmed down. When rinsing it off, my skin feels so soft, almost like a baby's skin.
Cons👎 It gets stuck in my nose pores. No matter how much I rinse, the product stuck in my nose pores won't come out. So I have to wipe it off with a cotton pad soaked in toner or lather up the cleanser and rub it just on my nose. 👎 The fragrance is unpleasant. It smells like a perm solution. I was really surprised at first. I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, but even after washing and applying my skincare, the smell lingers on my skin. 👎 The Korean price is too expensive. Even though I have to wait a long time, direct purchase is better.
