It's a serum that flows smoothly with a slight viscosity. It's colorless and odorless, gentle on the skin, and incredibly hydrating! Even when used alone, it provides excellent moisture.
ConsIf you don't let it absorb properly or use too much, you might experience some pilling.

Cons* Unavoidable sticky feeling * Pilling may occur if too much is applied before makeup

You need to press the dropper twice to get enough product out. Due to its consistency, it doesn't drip down your face like other ampoules when applied. Application: There's a noticeable difference between days I use it and days I don't. After using it overnight, my face doesn't feel tight, and my makeup applies beautifully! Absorption: It glides on smoothly at first. It does get a bit sticky as it absorbs, which was surprising initially. However, the stickiness doesn't last long and it sinks in quickly. It doesn't just moisturize the surface - you can feel it hydrating deep into the skin. Scent: It's fragrance-free, so it shouldn't be polarizing in terms of scent. Overall impression: I would repurchase! It seems to help calm blemishes (while not solely responsible, it definitely contributes). It also appears effective for deep dryness. I've tried many creams and ampoules, but this one seems the most effective. Top-notch!
ConsThere aren't any major downsides, but if I had to pick one, it would be the stickiness. Right after application, it's sticky enough that hair sticks to your face, and if you have prominent double eyelids, it feels like eyelid glue - your eyelids stick together. The stickiness absorbs quickly, so it's fine when applied at night, but if you're applying makeup right after in the morning, it might cause pilling. However, these are minor issues that can be overlooked considering its benefits.
TipI love the finishing feel when I layer it like this: toner, this product, then emulsion. Perfect!

Before diving in, I want to mention that I used this during my menstrual cycle, just like the serum I tested previously. #Texture The consistency is thin yet rich! Using the dropper, I applied it to my face. It has enough viscosity to slowly drip when placed on the skin. However, as you spread it, it feels like a watery toner. When you start patting it in, it clings to the skin and absorbs well. It's sticky enough that your skin slightly sticks to your palms when patting, but for such an adhesive texture, it feels incredibly light. It's so lightweight that you could easily layer a slightly heavier cream on top without feeling weighed down. #Application Method I applied my toner first, either patting it in with my hands or using a cotton pad, then spread the ampoule all over my face. I finished with a light emulsion. Both the ampoule and emulsion are quite light, but not too much so - it felt just right without being heavy on the skin. For reference, I use Donginbi Dam Su (toner) and Dam Emulsion. #Results As mentioned, I used this ampoule exactly during my menstrual cycle. Usually, I get lots of small blemishes 2-3 days before my period starts, which only begin to clear up 3-4 days into my cycle. However, apart from a few persistent spots on my cheeks and forehead, I didn't break out at all! Normally, when I only use emulsion, I get a flood of small blemishes during my period that I end up picking at. But using this ampoule alongside my routine, I noticed a significant reduction in breakouts. It's not perfect, but it's a noticeable improvement! I checked the ingredients list afterward and found no concerning ingredients. It seems like such a gentle, skin-friendly ampoule! Moreover, the dropper made application super convenient. You can easily dispense just the right amount directly onto your face. The texture is perfect for this - it doesn't run down your face before you have a chance to spread it. Personally, I love products that make my skin feel slightly tacky, so I only found positives with this ampoule. As I mentioned in my application method, when I layer toner, this ampoule, and then emulsion, it creates a perfect base for makeup without leaving my skin overly sticky. I think the emulsion helps balance out the slight tackiness of the ampoule. I'll admit, I'm often lazy with my skincare and sometimes go to bed without applying anything after washing my face, or just slap on some emulsion. But making an effort to use this ampoule consistently has definitely prevented my skin from becoming dehydrated and flaky. #Pros During the transition from spring to summer, my nose tends to peel badly. The area around my nostrils gets especially rough, and even my nose wings shed skin like dead skin cells without any touching. This made makeup application tricky. While this ampoule doesn't completely eliminate the peeling, it significantly helps to soothe and reduce it. Lately, I've been applying extra ampoule around my nose area, and it's made a huge difference - my makeup applies smoothly and my skin doesn't look patchy anymore!
ConsI didn't really find any downsides to mention. The only thing to be cautious about is using too much of the ampoule before applying makeup. If you overdo it, your foundation might pill slightly. Of course, pilling can also happen if you don't apply your base makeup correctly, but occasionally it can be due to using too much ampoule. To avoid this, make sure to pat the product in thoroughly to ensure full absorption, or simply use a bit less of the ampoule. That should work perfectly!
TipIn my review, I mentioned that sometimes I skip my skincare routine out of laziness or just apply emulsion. I want to clarify that this ampoule alone might feel too light if you're looking for a one-step routine on lazy days. For best results, make sure to use it in conjunction with your emulsion!

It might be too rich for oily, normal, or combination dehydrated skin in this weather! However, it's likely an outstanding essence for those with extremely dry skin!
Cons- While my skin type is dry, the texture is so thick that even those with extremely dry skin should use only a small amount in sticky weather like summer. - Not recommended for summer use... It causes makeup to pill, and more importantly, leaves the skin's surface feeling sticky with hair sticking to it. - The glass container makes it slightly heavy, though not significantly inconvenient.
TipWhen used in evening skincare, it maintains hydration until morning.
