It's incredibly effective at breaking down sebum. Nothing else compares when it comes to this. However, it might be too harsh for my skin. A few days after using it, I notice the treated areas seem to peel, almost as if the outer layer of skin is coming off. This makes it difficult to apply makeup for several days. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 16, 2022
This is the first time I've tried a standalone sebum softener, and it definitely brings up white sebum. Although it's pricey, the volume is huge - I doubt I'll be able to use it all within a year of opening. The irritation is quite intense. I expected some, but my skin really burns and turns red. The redness also lasts for a long time. My skin has become super sensitive, so I definitely can't use it frequently. Also, it feels like it's only bringing up surface-level sebum. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 6, 2022
I bought this after watching a YouTube video about dissolving sebum. Since exfoliating gels and mud masks can sometimes be a bit harsh with their granules, I purchased this product based on the recommendation to apply it on a cotton pad, leave it for 15 minutes, and then use a galvanic peeling device. When I applied the product to my face, I didn't feel any stinging or pain, just a refreshing sensation. After 15 minutes, the sebum doesn't look dramatically different, but it appears slightly swollen (like it's been soaked in water?). When I gently go over it with the peeling device, it all disappears. The immediate visible results are great! While it's good at first, if you wear makeup for a couple of days after using it, your makeup pills terribly and your skin feels extremely tight. It's really too much... By the afternoon, you can see your skin cracking, or your makeup sliding off and sticking stubbornly. Also, I usually don't get red marks when I use my peeling device, but this product seems to be a bit irritating as it sometimes leaves red marks. WARNING: Be extremely careful not to get it in your eyes! It stings unbearably if it does. I got it in my eyes once and it was so painful that I've been extra cautious when using it since. Be careful around your eyes and mouth!
