A moisturizer that's purely hydrating without a hint of oiliness.
ConsI think green tea doesn't agree with my skin... When I apply it, my eyelids feel itchy and tiny red rashes appear.

The application feels clean and smooth.
ConsThe hydration evaporates quickly, and it gives a slightly itchy sensation. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with an applicator.

I'm an ultra-sensitive boss with delicate skin that reacts badly to the wrong cosmetics, making me a nomad in the beauty world. Since 2020, after months of medication from a dermatologist, my skin is less prone to flare-ups than before. 1) Lightweight texture. 2) Cooling sensation. 3) Among all the emulsions I've used, this seems to cause the least blemishes. While it's not completely problem-free, it's hard to tell if any issues are from this product or just my skin (I've been using it for over 6 months, which is rare for me).
Cons1) Too drying to use alone, except in summer. 2) (I'm used to it now, but) it feels sticky after application. 3) (When I first applied it to my damaged skin) My face felt itchy. +2022 update) I'm considering trying a different product as this one now feels irritating and very drying when applied.
Tip1) Mix with jojoba oil (or another suitable oil) when using, except in summer. 2) Not recommended for dry skin types to use alone.

It's also budget-friendly.
ConsI had to stop using it because it made my face itchy and caused a tingling sensation. I've decided not to buy products from this brand again.

The soothing gel texture feels refreshingly cool when applied after cleansing! I have dry skin, so after using only toner and this cream, my face quickly felt dry. I had to reapply my panthenol cream right away. Since I don't like layering too many products, I'm wondering at which step I should use this cream? I think it might work well for oily skin types!
ConsPropanediol? Green tea? Hyaluronic acid? I'm not sure which ingredient doesn't agree with me, but I felt a slight tingling sensation on my skin! Since it was a sample, I only applied it to one cheek, and it felt a bit strange. Can some people be sensitive to propanediol? I probably won't purchase the full-size product. I actually preferred the Centella Aqua Soothing Ampoule! Also, I'm not a fan of jar packaging.
TipI've been buying various COSRX products lately, and they've been sending lots of samples! They all seem to be from the Hydrium line. It looks like there might be a sale going on, so keep that in mind!

Anyway, let me share my thoughts. My skin is sensitive yet somehow resilient, oily yet dehydrated - a true combination dehydrated skin type. I can't use any drugstore products, but I do well with Olive Young's gentler lines. I don't bother with pricey department store brands. Pros: 1. Gentle ingredients Can't find any harmful components. Seems fragrance-free too. 2. Cooling effect I learned how crucial this is last summer when my pores expanded. This gel formula really shines when refrigerated before use. 3. Absorbs well While most gels feel similar, this one has a unique 'squeaky clean' texture when applied. It's lighter than creams, which I personally enjoy.
ConsNow for the downsides: Cons: 1. Itchiness For some reason, I experienced itching when I applied a thick layer on the first day. I had to wash it off and use my regular product. Even when I tried layering small amounts the next day, the itchiness persisted. 2. Absorption issues If you apply too much at once, it doesn't absorb well and seems to form a film. I found that layering small amounts multiple times works best to maximize its effectiveness. (Personally, I layer 2-3 times depending on my skin condition.) When I use this product in the morning followed by sunscreen, CC cream, and BB cream, it can feel a bit heavy.
TipPro tip: Pop it in the fridge before cleansing at night, then apply in layers as part of your evening skincare routine. It gives that 'sleeping pack' feel. I recommend using it more as an evening treatment rather than in your morning routine!

At first, I was unsure, but the more I use it, the more I realize it's a unique and decent product. I typically only apply one or two skincare products at a time. I have a sun allergy and redness. My skin tends to be a bit oily, so in summer I'm the type to blot sunscreen on oil-absorbing sheets before use. The texture is similar to a regular moisturizer - translucent and slightly thick. It's nearly fragrance-free, so I had no aversion to it. It's almost like pudding. The aloe gel I'm using from The Face Shop gets sticky over time and forms a film that makes skin look smooth, but this one absorbs completely without stickiness. Gels typically feel tightening on the surface as time passes, and this moisturizer has that feeling too. I think it's closer to a gel than a cream. So you might feel like it's not enough and your skin is dry no matter how much you apply. Some people describe it as silky. However, I don't think it's causing deep dryness. When I have deep dryness, my skin feels parched, my mouth area feels tight, and I feel hot, but this wasn't like that - it was more of a surface tightening, like my skin was coated. So I was able to spend a whole day at home on the weekend just using this moisturizer alone. I felt a slight cooling effect, but I'm not sure about quick soothing. When my face was flushed due to my sun allergy, I tried applying it experimentally, but it was inadequate and uncomfortable, so I stopped. After my face calmed down and I applied it again, it felt comfortable. Now I see it doesn't contain alcohol, which explains why it doesn't have that intense cooling sensation. But I notice it becomes more stabilizing over time. I plan to keep using it consistently.
ConsIf I had to pick something, maybe the lack of a spatula? Otherwise, it's fine. If they added more hydrating ingredients, it might have become sticky and irritating.
TipIt might be nice to use this after keeping it in the refrigerator.
