The flat pencil shape makes it easy to draw, and the brush part is firm, which is great for defining brows. The color payoff is excellent, so you can achieve a satisfying result with just a couple of strokes. It breaks too easily. It broke once right after I bought it, and I thought it might be a fluke, but it broke again a few days later. Now that I'm looking at other reviews, I see many people complaining about the same issue. Even if using it with minimal exposure helps, the fact that so many people are experiencing this clearly indicates a problem with the product. - ji*******Dry SkinRecommendedMar 18, 2023
The color payoff is really impressive. The Natural Brown shade is deeper than expected, so those wanting lighter brows might find it a bit intense. I appreciated that it doesn't have the reddish undertones often found in typical dark brown shades. Overall, it's a solid, versatile eyebrow product. Considering the price, the eyebrow pencil seems a bit flimsy overall. The case durability is questionable - it feels a bit loose and rattly. Given the many reviews mentioning breakage, I'm using it carefully by extending only small amounts at a time. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedFeb 3, 2023
Color payoff: I don't know why, but other eyebrow products just don't deliver when it comes to pigmentation. At Olive Young, I have to press so hard with the testers to get any color. But this product? The color payoff is insane! Just a light stroke, and it shows up beautifully. I love it so much! Shade: Since I dye my hair, I've been looking for the perfect brown shade. This one is spot on! It's a natural brown that I'm really happy with. While this product isn't waterproof, it really doesn't hold up well against water at all! I went swimming and ended up looking like a Mona Lisa painting. Just keep that in mind! If you use powder before applying the eyebrow product, both the color payoff and staying power improve significantly! - no*********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 14, 2021
As an eyebrow product nomad, I can't praise this enough! The application is fantastic, and its staying power is incredible. I bought it because it was said to be a budget-friendly version of the popular Shu Uemura eyebrow pencil, and it truly lives up to that title. It draws beautifully defined brows, and the color is a perfect match for Korean skin tones. I can't find any downsides! While others mention it breaks easily, I haven't experienced that yet. Maybe it's because I tend to use very small amounts at a time. Use it sparingly by twisting up small amounts to prevent breakage. For better color payoff, remove any excess oil from your brows with powder before application. - lu*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 15, 2021
I love that its flat, wide shape allows for quick application when laid flat. The formula isn't too soft, so it doesn't wear down quickly and fills in brows with good intensity. When held upright, you can neatly define the tail of your brows for a sharp look. There's not really anything to complain about. The wide shape might make application a bit rough, but that's about it. I've also used Maybelline products with smudge tips. If you use the smudge tip effectively, you can naturally fill in any gaps between hairs. For a more natural and fuller look, finish by brushing through with the spoolie to enhance the hair-like texture. - la*****Dry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedSep 5, 2020
The long, flat define tip allows for creating precise and neat eyebrows even on busy mornings. It's especially convenient when filling in larger areas. The built-in soft blending brush helps to groom eyebrow hairs, resulting in a more natural look as it fills in sparse areas. Indeed, for quick and easy application, pencil-type eyebrow products are the best! Use the wider side of the brow pencil to broadly fill in empty spaces with quick strokes. Then, finish by using the narrow side to follow the direction of hair growth, adding fine, hair-like strokes. I appreciate the hard formula type as it allows for creating sharp and clean outlines. I wish the spoolie brush was just a tad longer. - cy******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 15, 2020
It glides on smoothly and the color suits me naturally. The staying power is excellent, so it doesn't smudge off. The angled tip makes it easy to draw the tail of the eyebrow. The price is wallet-friendly too - I'm already on my second one! It wears down quickly. Although I use it daily, the amount seems less compared to other products. Also, the case isn't very sturdy. - gi********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 22, 2020
This eyebrow pencil is perfect for those with moderate brow thickness! It naturally fills in sparse areas, ideal for people who already have some brows but want to enhance them. It glides on smoothly with a soft, velvety texture. The slim design makes it easy to use. I've never ended up with cartoon-like brows using this! I loved it so much I bought another shade. It's a bit pricey... Better to buy it during a sale... When applying, use a light touch and gently fill in the brows! - ki*******Dry SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 20, 2020
It draws on so naturally and beautifully. I've tried many others, but I repurchased this one because it's so easy to apply. There's hardly anything to complain about. The twist-up design is convenient, but it seems to run out quickly. - jk*****Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresJan 29, 2020
- The color payoff is natural and it's easy to apply - With gentle pressure, it glides on smoothly without clumping - The staying power is pretty good - it barely fades from when I leave the house until I get back home - I've been using it for over two weeks and haven't experienced any blemishes I'm not applying excessive pressure, just drawing naturally like I do with other eyebrow products. So why does this one break so easily? It broke just a few days after I started using it, even though I hadn't extended much of the product. It just snapped while I was applying it. I thought maybe the top part was a bit weak, but it broke again today while I was using it. Even when I only extend a small amount, that little bit breaks off. (For reference, I didn't even extend it as much as the broken piece in the photo - it broke off even further inside!) The color payoff, longevity, and application are all above average, but because of the breaking issue, I won't be repurchasing. Instead of starting from the inner corner of the eyebrow, begin drawing from between the front and middle of the brow. Then use a spoolie brush to lightly brush and fill in the inner part. This technique seems to create a more natural eyebrow shape and color.
