The redness subsides very quickly right after application. It's easy to spread evenly as it's not too thick.

It spreads a lot. It spreads like an eraser stain...haha It spreads even with just a light touch... While the spreading is understandable, after applying it and waiting 3-4 hours, my whole face becomes red, itchy, and stinging. Pros
First, my skin type was combination with acne, but it really improved after using this product! I came across it by chance while watching YouTube videos, and I've been using the Red Blemish Soothing Spot Balm and the Red Blemish Cica S Cream together. I apply the cream first, and then this product as the second step, focusing on areas with redness or severe acne, like my chin. It turned out to be even better than I expected, and it was the most effective for calming my acne! After applying and going to sleep, I wake up to significantly reduced redness and acne. I've been using the cream and this soothing spot balm for about 3 years now! It's on the pricier side, but it's worth it. The texture is very smooth, and the scent is slightly like wood glue... but it doesn't bother me much, even though I'm quite sensitive to scents. I tend to apply it quite thickly, and it can feel a bit heavy the next day, but it absorbs well if you give it enough time. I've tried this along with the Red Blemish Cica Soothing Cream, and while those two work really well together, the Cica Soothing Cream didn't suit my skin as well, so I've stuck to just using these two products.
Cons
The downside is that after applying and sleeping, there's a lot of oiliness. And it can feel a bit heavy and thick to use before makeup. So I only apply it at night, not in the mornings. When I was a year into my job, my skin became dry and I used a steroid ointment incorrectly, which caused my face to completely break out. I suffered for a year. Even after that, I was never satisfied with any mild and good atopic skin care products. Those were just moisturizers that kept my skin from getting worse, not ones that actually improved it. At the point where my skin was recovering at a snail's pace, I happened to buy and use Dr.G's Soothing Cream and Spot Balm Cream, and they worked amazingly well. I've been hoarding and using them for 3 years now! My skin has now recovered so perfectly that I can almost wear just foundation without any trouble or issues. I've cautiously recommended these products to friends with skin troubles as well. Especially for the more sensitive, red, and itchy areas, applying the Spot Balm Cream thickly and sleeping on it makes you feel the difference the next day. This is like my last resort skin care product that shows improvements that are hard to feel with other cosmetics! I'll keep buying a lot of them so they don't get discontinued.

I bought it because I kept getting pimples. I was worried that it would be too thick and cause more trouble since I'm the type that gets breakouts easily, but it was just the right thickness(?), and it wasn't stuffy, so I liked it.
