It feels like applying a sticky solid glue to your face. I wonder if there's any need to use a cream with this texture at this price point. The consistency might be tolerable if used on specific areas. For this price and texture, it delivers the worst dryness I've experienced in a long time. The skin feels extremely tight. The application is terrible, it's impossible to spread evenly. Don't buy it. It's incredibly drying. I'm tempted to ask who this product is actually meant for. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 22, 2021
It feels deeply moisturizing with its rich, creamy texture that hydrates right down to the skin's core. As someone with extremely dry and sensitive skin, I've finally found my holy grail product. The price point is a bit disappointing. It's also a shame there's no larger size option available. Other than that, I'm completely satisfied with everything else. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 8, 2021
My skin type is prone to deep dryness with oiliness appearing in the morning and evening. Application: 🐻🐻🐻🐻 The texture is similar to a thick butter cream. When applied to the skin, it feels velvety, reminiscent of a primer. Absorption: 🐻 It tends to sit on the surface. On days when I apply a bit more than usual, it feels slightly heavy and stuffy, like sleeping with a sleeping pack on. Ingredients: 🐻 Despite applying small amounts due to its high-nutrition claim, it doesn't seem to agree well with my skin. Value for money: 🐻 The texture makes it unsuitable for summer use, likely only usable in winter. Considering its functions, the price isn't particularly cheap for a cream. Scent: 🐻 The distinctive scent, similar to grass, is not appealing. Hydration: 🐻🐻 It feels more rich than hydrating. After using it for a month, I didn't feel any dryness on my face even after waking up for the first week. However, after that initial week, I didn't notice any benefits. Perhaps due to its high-nutrition formula, I developed blemishes on my forehead, so I ended up applying small amounts only on my cheeks. Apply thin layers multiple times, allowing each to absorb well. Not recommended unless you have dry skin. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinDec 3, 2020
The fragrance is absolutely delightful, and the texture is so rich and creamy that it absorbs beautifully Unfortunately, I had to stop using it because my face felt a bit tingly and developed some redness. I really wanted to keep using it because the scent was so lovely, but it's a shame. It doesn't seem to suit super sensitive skin - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 21, 2020
I was about to buy Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream, but ended up getting swayed by a Sephora employee. On my way home, I checked Hwahae and got really worried seeing all the negative reviews. But honestly, after trying Kiehl's, Aesop, Darphin, Innisfree Birch, and Clinique, this is the first cream that's truly calmed my skin and made my complexion clearer. As a college student, it's pricey, and I was hesitant about buying from a brand I'd never heard of. Now I'm worried about what I'll do if it's discontinued... I apply it every night before bed. My mom noticed my skin looks clearer every morning, as if something's rising from within. She even asked me to buy one for her too. It's moisturizing, doesn't cause blemishes, and makes makeup go on smoothly. It's a perfect 10 cream! I can understand the high price, and I'd even be okay if they raised it more. Just please, please don't reformulate or discontinue it! Don't change the ingredients, I'm begging you!!!!!!!!!! I never write reviews, but I'm doing this in hopes that someone from the company might see it and reconsider any plans to reformulate... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 11, 2020
I loved the serum so much that I bought the cream from the same line too. It's great for use during seasonal changes or winter. It's not a lightweight cream, but has a bit of substance to it, making it perfect for chilly evenings or winter use. Regarding absorption: While it does apply smoothly, it's a heavier cream, so if you don't get the amount right, it doesn't absorb well. That's why I only use it at night, not before applying makeup. Pro tip: If you exfoliate, use a mask, and then apply this cream before bed, your skin feels hydrated and makeup goes on beautifully the next day! - 98******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 1, 2020
The ingredients are great and the packaging is quite sophisticated... The particles are a bit coarse, leading to deep dryness and excess oil on the surface.. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 27, 2020
I tried the mask pack and loved it, so I ended up buying this on an employee's recommendation! At first, I thought it was drier than expected and worried I'd wasted my money... but it's great to use with just one essence in summer like now. I'm reevaluating it positively. It has a firm texture, and you don't need to apply much to cover your whole face. Though the cream's volume is small, it lasts longer than expected. I don't feel like my redness is dramatically reduced, but it seems to soothe my skin adequately. Now I'm curious about the Centella essence too... It can be drier than expected, and the container doesn't close well, so I just leave it loosely covered. This would be good for those who respond well to Centella and for people with oily skin when applied in a thin layer. - sm****Combination SkinAcne SkinJul 22, 2020
The ingredients are great. I think it would be perfect for when your skin gets all cracked and dry in winter. Despite that, the reason for my low rating is that it's too heavy for my combination skin. It was even difficult to use in the dead of winter. - wo******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresJun 4, 2020
I have combination dehydrated skin with a tendency towards oiliness. I'm concerned about fine lines appearing due to lack of hydration, so I focus on products that provide moisture and hydration. Regarding application, this cream has a rich texture, so it applies better after using a mist or toner rather than on bare skin. The scent is a natural, inoffensive herbal aroma. In terms of moisturizing, I had high hopes for this product since it was marketed as deeply nourishing and hydrating. Unfortunately, it left my skin feeling too dry. When I applied makeup over it, my skin felt tight all day, forcing me to layer additional moisturizing products. I don't think I'll repurchase this. As for the price, considering the amount you get, I'm not sure it's worth it...
