The adherence is so good that even with minimal skincare, there's no pilling at all. I used it well for a matte makeup look even in winter. I was quite disappointed with its coverage capabilities. - on****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 2, 2020
1. Applies lightly (it's a given tip to dab a small amount on the puff and evenly distribute it across your face) 2. Easy to layer (I usually avoid touch-ups as they can cake and separate, but adding a bit more to the T-zone works well with this) 3. Relatively wallet-friendly (As we all know, cosmetics from reputable manufacturers don't vary much in quality based on ingredients alone. The higher prices often reflect marketing, packaging, and brand image costs) For skin that's combination dehydrated with an oily T-zone, enlarged pores, and blemishes, finding the right cushion can be a real challenge. Dewy cushions are great for hydration, but they make the T-zone too oily and makeup disappears quickly. With severe deep dryness, cushions that are too matte or offer heavy coverage don't adhere well, separate, crack, emphasize dead skin cells, or pill. However, this Zero Cushion is easier to apply by gently patting small amounts with the puff. It covers pores well with a light buffing motion, allowing for an overall lightweight makeup application. I love how the texture is incredibly light while still being shine-free. Comparing it to others I've tried, the Hera Mist Cushion had a light texture (the Zero Cushion is just as light), but it caused deep dryness for me and I disliked the glow. I switched to the Hera Black Cushion, which offers good coverage without shine, but it tends to apply a bit thick, emphasizing my under-eye fine lines. Touch-ups were impossible as it would separate completely (though this might be largely due to my skin type). I'm thinking I should stock up before it sells out or the price goes up! Depending on individual needs, some might find the coverage insufficient and the finish dry. The gray case design, while I appreciate its simplicity, might not appeal to everyone's aesthetic preferences. - li********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 28, 2020
I'm sharing this review after using the product for about 6 months. Appearance: I bought it because I love Anne of Green Gables, and it's incredibly pretty. The matte case makes it even better! The original cushion compact had a simple, lovely gray exterior. Color: I have a light skin tone and use shade 21, but Pure 01 was perfect for me. It gave me a nice brightening effect without creating a noticeable difference between my face and neck. Coverage: The coverage is truly excellent! I didn't need to use a separate concealer as it covered acne scars well. I highly recommend this to those who prioritize coverage. Wear: When my skin was in good condition, it didn't break down unattractively! As it blended with my skin's natural oils, it wore off gracefully without looking messy. (Please note the drawbacks section for more info!) Pore coverage: Just like its overall coverage, the pore coverage is fantastic! Even those with large pores should be able to use this without worry. Finish: The semi-matte finish worked well for me, though it does have a slightly rich feel. I'd recommend applying it over a solid skincare routine for the best results. Skin appearance: This product is really affected by skin condition. On bad skin days, it tends to separate and the overall skin appearance was quite poor. I really don't recommend this for those who dislike heavy-looking skin coverage. Adherence: Since the cushion formula is on the thicker side, it doesn't adhere to the skin very well... It transfers easily when using your phone and has significant transfer issues, so it's not great in terms of staying put. Longevity: I have oily T-zone and cheeks, so I always set those areas with powder, but the staying power was just average... After only 2-3 hours, oil would start to come through, especially making my nose area quite shiny. Wear: The reason I mentioned wear in both pros and cons is that it's highly dependent on skin condition. On bad skin days, it emphasized dead skin cells and tended to break apart in small clumps as it wore off. I really hope those who don't like thick cushion formulas avoid purchasing this. However, if coverage and pore-blurring effects are your top priorities when buying a cushion compact, I think you'll be satisfied with this product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 26, 2020
I started using this cushion because of its case :) This product creates a matte and powdery finish, making it perfect for students. It naturally brightens your complexion without looking like you're wearing heavy makeup. I also love that it doesn't break down messily when it starts to fade. It's a great product for spring and summer. I'd be willing to repurchase the product itself even without this specific case! I wouldn't recommend this for winter! Because it's matte, it can actually accentuate dead skin cells. In winter, you need to prep your skin thoroughly with skincare before applying this cushion. I'll say it again - since it's a matte product, there's zero glow, so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a dewy skin look. There can be some pilling, so make sure to evenly distribute the product on your puff and apply it in thin layers! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 12, 2020
This is truly my holy grail cushion foundation! At first, I wondered why it was called 'Zero Cushion,' but after applying it once, I immediately understood. It feels like you're wearing nothing - it's incredibly lightweight! However, don't be fooled by its lightness. The coverage is absolutely fantastic, giving you flawless skin. Plus, it's incredibly affordable, especially when you buy from the official website. For repeat customers, just purchasing refills makes it even more cost-effective. I discovered this gem in summer and used it religiously throughout the season. It's definitely a matte formula, feeling moisturizing upon application but then setting beautifully. This is hands down my number one cushion that I always keep stocked! It might feel a tad dry in winter, but I combat this by layering on extra skincare, allowing me to use it year-round. The Zero Cushion truly shines during the summer months, everyone! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedFeb 10, 2020
It's great for oily skin as it controls excess oil well. The compact case is super cute! The coverage was a bit disappointing. The color wasn't as bright as I had hoped. - sh*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessJan 4, 2020
I'll give you an honest review! I bought this mainly because the case was so pretty, haha! It was on sale, and the price seemed reasonable for what you get, so I was really tempted. After purchasing, I checked out some review videos and posts, and it seemed pretty good! So I had some expectations. When I first applied it, it felt really cool on my skin. The color brightened up my complexion nicely, and the coverage was good right from the start! It felt moisturizing as I applied it, without being too dewy or oily. At this point, I thought I'd made a great purchase! But then, what happened...? The bright color didn't last long before darkening, making my face look dull and lifeless. Every time I used the puff to apply it, it left visible puff marks. Despite feeling moisturizing when applied, it would smudge and rub off easily with the slightest touch. (Even with powder, it still smudged and came off, ugh...) I thought maybe it would settle and adhere better as time passed and it became less moist, but no such luck. It settled right into my fine lines, separated around my nose, and broke down horribly around my nose creases... sigh. I do work in a dry environment, but I've never had a cushion foundation break down this badly, even on my cheeks! Looking in the mirror just made me frustrated, so I started avoiding mirrors altogether! I don't have any tips to share, but if you're thinking of buying it just because the case is pretty, go for it! I honestly don't understand why people recommend this cushion (maybe it's the good coverage for the price?). As for me, I definitely won't be repurchasing it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 1, 2019
I loved how it kept my skin moisturized on the inside while feeling soft and dry on the outside! It also adheres well to the skin. If you apply it carelessly, it can look cakey, so you need to be thorough when putting it on. You should spread a thin layer using just a small amount! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedSep 11, 2019
As someone with combination skin, my makeup sometimes looks great and other times not so much, but this cushion always delivered! The design is particularly pretty, and the scent is the best I've experienced among all the products I've tried. The color isn't as light as you might expect? But that was perfect for me since I prefer a more natural look rather than an overly brightening effect. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedSep 7, 2019
1. The red-haired packaging is totally collectible. I bought it just for Anne, not even thinking about the product's effectiveness! 2. It applies incredibly thin and light. This is my first foundation cushion, and it feels as lightweight as the tone-up cushion I used before! But the coverage is still great. I had some redness on my nose, but a few pats with the cushion covered it up. Right now, I only have some freckles and blemishes, and it concealed them well. 3. It's so hydrating! It feels wonderfully moisturizing when applying. The absorption is excellent too. 4. ⭐️Makes your skin look amazing⭐️ I first started using this around March or April, and a friend I hadn't seen in ages asked what I was using on my skin, saying it looked as smooth as a peeled egg! It definitely gives you that healthy-looking complexion. ⭐️The shade is dark and slightly grayish⭐️ Even though I bought the lightest shade, it was still too dark for my shade 17 skin. (It would be perfect for those who are shade 21) Luckily, it matched my slightly tanned summer skin... but the darkening happened quickly. After a while, it starts to look patchy and yellowish. The only downside seems to be the color... They clearly said it was pink-based, but it had more yellow undertones than expected. The packaging is super cute!
