It's so effective at removing sebum that you can clearly see the emptied pores. If you're wary of sebum softeners or find them cumbersome, this might be worth trying at least once.
Cons1. It's excessively rich and absorbs slowly. For an exfoliating product, it's quite oily. While it removes sebum, it simultaneously adds oil, potentially creating a vicious cycle. I wish it was less rich. 2. It doesn't tighten pores. Being a cream, I thought it might nourish and fill in pores, but it only removes dead skin cells. As a result, you need to apply a pore serum or hydrating ampoule before this cream. Despite being designed for oily skin, its richness makes me hesitant to use it regularly.
TipIf you insist on using this product, apply it right after your toner, then follow up with a hydrating pad or hyaluronic acid to finish your routine.

ConsAfter applying, it leaves a white cast, so you need to pat it in a lot to help it absorb

When I was younger, I used a lot of liquid or peeling exfoliators, but those barely provided any moisture. As I got older, my skin became drier. The Dr. Troub Pore Opener Cream is convenient because it exfoliates and moisturizes at the same time. With its AHA and BHA ingredients, when I apply it before bed on days when my skin feels rough, I wake up to smooth, silky skin.
ConsCompared to products solely for dead skin cell management, this one doesn't dissolve as much. For thorough care, it's better to use an AHA/BHA product followed by a hydrating moisturizer. It doesn't fully absorb into the skin, rather it feels like it sits on top. It's best used alone after toning. However, if you have dry skin, this cream alone won't provide enough hydration. For very dry areas, apply plenty of toner for moisture before using this product. Also, it may cause a tingling sensation if your skin is too sensitive, so use it according to your skin condition. For those who only cleanse with water in the morning for skin health, you'll need to cleanse thoroughly after using this product as it can leave skin quite oily by morning.
TipI bought it during a buy-one-get-one-free promotion, so I have plenty to use generously. In fact, one full-size product would probably last until its expiration date... I recommend sharing with family or friends. For sensitive skin, frequent exfoliation can actually make the skin more delicate, so I recommend using it once or twice a week. I use it about once a week, and in between, if I feel my skin getting a bit rough, I wipe my face with a toner containing AHA ingredients, followed by ample moisturizing.

Based on other people's reviews, I thought it might help with those tiny bumps on my skin...
ConsThe texture is way too thick, making the application feel strange, and I'm not even sure if it's effective. I've generally had good experiences with Sidmool products, but with this one, I can't tell what it's supposed to do. It's neither a cream nor a gel - when you apply it, it doesn't absorb well but feels like it's just sitting on top of the skin. In the morning, my face is an oil slick... It feels unpleasant when I wash my face, and it doesn't seem to exfoliate well either. Personally, this product had no effect on me.
TipIf it works well for you, consider purchasing during a 1+1 promotion.

I could feel that my skin became incredibly smooth.
ConsI think I need to use it a bit longer to fully assess. The texture isn't thin, but rather ointment-like, so you need to squeeze out just a small amount and gently pat it in for better absorption.

With consistent use, I saw a reduction in oil on my nose. As for dead skin cells, I can't say for certain, but it's better than not using anything. It's not amazingly effective, but it keeps my skin from flaking - just a slight improvement from a so-so state. Dermatologists say that over-exfoliating can actually increase dead skin cells, and healthy skin naturally sheds them. They recommend using a chemical exfoliant once a week for proper care. The great thing about this product is that it's suitable for daily use. They often have a 1+1 deal, which seems to be an almost constant promotion.
ConsIt's crucial to control the amount you use. Pat it on for better application - rubbing doesn't work well. Absorption is slow. It can sting on sensitive areas. For blackhead and whitehead management, I'm skeptical - it's not great. At this point, I think visiting a dermatologist is the answer for blackheads. I've stopped using other sebum control products and just use this now. It's better than using nothing, I suppose. After trying various products claiming to be good for blackheads and risking blemishes, I think it's better to save money on cosmetics and just go to a dermatologist instead.
TipIf you bought it because of good reviews but haven't seen any notable benefits yet, don't worry about tossing it. It's not causing any blemishes, so just keep using it consistently as you have been.

By the time I finished a bottle, my skin texture had become noticeably smoother. It's designed to manage closed pores, sebum, and dead skin cells with AHA and BHA ingredients. It also contains panthenol and ceramides, which are effective for improving the skin barrier. Since it's not a product that shows immediate results, I recommend using it consistently!
ConsAs it requires sufficient time to absorb after application, this is primarily a product I use only for night care.
TipIt's best to allow ample time for the product to absorb fully after application. I recommend purchasing during the 1+1 event on the Sidmool official website! Remember, this is a product that requires consistent use to see results!

Cons- Due to its mild nature, it didn't dramatically resolve excess whiteheads caused by damaged skin barrier in one go. - It leaves a very thin film-like feeling after application, which might be hit or miss for some. - Being silicone-free, it takes time to absorb. - Dry skin types may need additional hydrating products.
Tip- Those with dry skin should ensure a solid skincare routine as they may feel dryness after absorption. - Use in order: Opener Cream followed by moisturizer. - When blemishes are about to appear, applying tea tree oil, then Opener Cream, followed by zinc ampoule helped calm them down (results may vary).

But it's actually fantastic for calming blemishes without any absorption issues. It's so gentle and easy to use that you wouldn't even guess it's a specialized product for blemishes or contains AHA. I highly recommend this for those with oily skin or prone to blemishes.
ConsWhile they say you can mix it with other creams, doing so makes it take a bit longer to absorb.
TipDue to the AHA ingredient, it seems essential to apply sunscreen when using this product.

However, I had some blackheads and whiteheads around my nose and under my eyes that would become noticeable when I applied makeup, causing me a lot of stress. I heard this was good, so I tried it, and it definitely works on whiteheads! When I first bought it, I wasn't very interested in skincare, so I couldn't really tell if it was effective and left it in a corner. Recently, I started using it again. While I'm not sure about blackheads, if I apply it like a massage at night instead of cream, not using too much, it leaves my skin very hydrated and feels great even in winter!
ConsWell, I'd say the absorption is a bit slow. You need to rub it in well.
TipAlthough I have dry skin, applying too much of this cream during the moisturizer step wasn't great for me. Also, it seems to work best when you gently massage it, focusing on areas with whiteheads!
