It's affordable. The packaging color is pretty. Easy to purchase. It causes blemishes... I get pimples... So disappointing. - qk**********Combination SkinRecommendedJan 5, 2021
✓ Not only controls oil, but also manages dryness to some extent ✓ When applying thick sunscreen, using this primer first makes the skin feel more comfortable ✓ Minimizes the appearance of pores ✓ Neither too greasy nor too dry Nothing particularly bad, but if left unused for a long time, the layers may slightly separate. However, this is easily fixed by pressing the container to mix it before use. Storing the container upside down can help reduce separation. - ca****************Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 22, 2020
My skin type: → Extremely oily, super sensitive, acne-prone, with large pores I have extremely oily skin all over my face! Not combination dehydrated, but within 30 minutes after washing, oil starts creeping up all over. I have lots of teenage acne, and very large, numerous pores in the T-zone. My nose is covered in blackheads like a strawberry... it's gross. On top of that, I have super sensitive skin, so using just any product immediately causes blemishes and makes my face sting and itch - truly cursed skin! My pores are so large it's really distressing. Just having large pores makes my skin look so bad. That's why a primer is essential in my makeup routine! ✔Pore coverage ⭐⭐⭐ Honestly, I'm not sure if it fills them in well. I bought this primer because it's rumored to be a cheaper version of that popular Benefit one, which is too expensive. But maybe because my pores are so large, it doesn't cover them very well. It just sort of fills them in a little. ✔Causes blemishes ⭐⭐ I've heard primers can cause breakouts because they contain pore-clogging ingredients, and it's true! Maybe it's because I have super sensitive skin, but I got pimples where I applied the primer. So I stopped using it for a while and they calmed down. I'm not sure of the exact cause, but I think it's because of this, so I took off a lot of stars. ✔Staying power ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It probably depends on what foundation or concealer you use, but I think some settling into pores over time is unavoidable. This one is just average in that regard. Overall assessment: It's disappointing that it doesn't fill in pores as well as I hoped, but I keep using it because it's better than others. It definitely lasts a long time. But if you leave it too long, the product seems to separate from the oil and foundation-like substance inside. You need to shake it before using. I'm about 70% likely to repurchase. The photo shows the renewed product with the purple color change! And the tape on top is because my dog bit it and it burst, so I wrapped it up. It's so disappointing that it doesn't fill in pores well. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 22, 2020
I bought this as it's said to be a budget-friendly alternative to a famous pore blurring product. It seems to help control oil production... For me, it's just average. I can't really tell if it blurs pores any better than others. If you don't cleanse thoroughly, it might cause blemishes. It covers pores really well. When applied in gentle, circular motions, it fills them in nicely. It seems my skin didn't agree with this product. After applying, my face was itchy for the entire day, which was quite uncomfortable. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 3, 2019
I loved how it left my skin feeling soft, and the affordable price made it great value for money There wasn't much to dislike, though it did feel a bit clumpy at times. Still, considering the price, it's absolutely fantastic - ca**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 4, 2019
Helps cover pores and leaves skin feeling soft and matte, controlling excess oil If you apply too much, it can pill. More importantly, it becomes so matte that it doesn't handle dead skin cells well. In winter, you'll need to prep your skin thoroughly before using this - se*******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 15, 2019
The staying power has definitely improved. As a student, experiences may vary, but with other primers, my makeup would completely wear off by the second or third class. With the Sebum Primer, the longevity is noticeably better than other primers I've tried. Since it's a sebum-control product, it might be a bit drying for those with dry skin, so I'd recommend it more for oily skin types. Be careful not to apply too much, as it can cause pilling if you use more than a tiny amount. Always apply this after your sunscreen and makeup base. Use only a small amount to avoid pilling.
