It causes blemishes. Tiny bumps seem to appear. I took a break and tried it again later, but it caused more breakouts on my chin. It might be due to the high oil content. Lavender doesn't agree with me either... Not recommended for super sensitive skin. This is the only Real Barrier product that doesn't work for me.

Gentle on the skin and removes makeup effectively. I tried this because I heard water or milk-based cleansers are good for combination dehydrated skin.

The only downside is that it feels a bit pricey for the amount you get...

The skin troubles I got after using cleansing oil and water have significantly reduced since I started using this.

• But for my forehead, which was already having a breakout party, this alone isn't enough to improve severe blemishes. It might have helped if I'd used it earlier. I'll need to take other measures for my forehead, but I'll keep using cleansing milk for the rest of my skin.

Long post alert! I've recently come to realize the importance of cleansing... (˃̵⌓˂̵) It's true what they say - cleansing is everything. What if we could combine barrier protection and hydration with cleansing? There are many cleansers designed to do just that, but milky, emulsion, or cream cleansers seem to work best, especially for dry, sensitive skin.

It feels like skincare while cleansing - super moisturizing, non-irritating, and leaves skin soft after rinsing. I don't even do a second cleanse. I love that silky feeling! Using cleansing milk means I don't need to focus so much on building a foundation in my skincare routine. My skin already feels somewhat hydrated.

When cleansing strips away oil and moisture and causes irritation, especially for sensitive types, it's already too late. You end up needing many steps to replenish, and applying too much can cause more irritation. But if you start with a cleanser that feels like skincare, you can maintain that non-irritated state.

Whenever my skin condition worsens, even the gentlest cleanser makes my skin red after washing. Only water cleansing is okay. When my skin is healthier, I can use a cleanser consistently for about 1-2 weeks, but that's it. Then my skin gets worse again, and the cycle continues.

So I kept taking breaks, doing water cleansing, and switching between different cleansers. Same with skincare... That's why I'm feeling lost again lately. I'm starting by changing my cleanser. I had been using a lot of AHA/BHA products, but now I'm trying to minimize even AHAs.

I've tried natural oil cleansing too, and it definitely feels like it creates a protective barrier while gently exfoliating. I plan to alternate between that and cleansing milk for a while. (I'm also thinking of taking a break from sheet masks... wondering if too frequent masking is making me sensitive. Maybe too much watery toner use too? Still considering.)

I remember using Bioderma cleansing milk in my mid-20s and loving it. Bioderma is still top-tier, but to avoid animal-derived ingredients, I did a lot of research and ended up choosing Real Barrier.

There were options with even better ingredients, but I considered price and accessibility too. (Make P:rem was also a candidate, but I chose Real Barrier for now.)

Products I ruled out due to animal (milk) ingredients despite good formulations include Bioderma, Sidmool Dr. Troub, Dewytree, and Asperer.

• It's a milk cleanser but has aromatic oils, so it smells nice.
• Thin and emulsion-like. Good for massaging. Typical cleansing milk feel.
• I used about 6 pumps total, massaging for 10-15 minutes with a steamer. When rinsing, it felt super slippery like mucus. Personally love it. The charm of cleansing milk.
• Skin feels moisturized after cleansing. Almost don't need to apply anything else right away.
• By day two, my cheeks, butterfly zone, chin, and nose all improved. Skin looked brighter and calmer. Even blackheads and whiteheads on my nose cleared up.

Highly recommend for those with damaged skin barriers or anyone sensitive to even slight dryness after cleansing. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

The texture is quite thin, and when rolling it on a dry face, it feels a bit rough and absorbs too quickly. It works best if you mix in a tiny bit of water when rolling it on.

I noticed it's not being sold at Olive Young anymore and seems to be discontinuing. Please don't discontinue it! I'm spreading the word everywhere about how great it is.

Here's a pro tip: When you feel like exfoliating, mix this with a scrub product for a gentle, effective cleanse!

I'm on my 6th bottle - this cleansing milk is perfect for me! Before this, I was using an expensive Italian product I ordered directly, but due to COVID, I started looking for domestic products.
