As someone with combination skin, I love how this absorbs quickly and gives me that coveted Inner Glow later on. The scent is lovely too, making me want to use it continuously. It's also effective in improving those pesky little bumps on the skin! It claims to have 1000ppm of azulene, but I'm not sure if that's considered high concentration for the price point... Apply a thick layer before bed, and you'll wake up with a beautiful glow to your complexion! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 30, 2021
The gel cream formula absorbs well and applies smoothly. It doesn't pill when used under makeup, instead it helps the makeup adhere better and gives a subtle glow! After trying others, I've settled back on Dioderma as it feels the freshest and works best for me! There's nothing I dislike about it! I wish I could slather it on generously, but the price holds me back. Still, even with a modest amount, it covers my face sufficiently! - bl******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 6, 2021
The lightweight formula works well when used together with other products from the same Deodema line After absorption, it feels a bit dry, making it unsuitable for use during winter - me*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 23, 2021
It absorbs well and doesn't sit on top of the skin! The price was reasonable as I bought it through a group purchase. I didn't see much improvement for my small bumps and blemishes. The cream comes in a smaller quantity than I expected. It feels like a soothing cream, so I apply it and then layer on a regenerating cream. - jo*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessDead Skin CellsMar 2, 2021
Among the Azulene skincare line, this cream feels the most decent. It's a non-sticky hydrating cream formula, but much more moisturizing than regular hydrating creams. The pretty color makes application enjoyable, though I didn't notice any significant effects. Using the Dioderma Azulene skincare line really upset my skin. I developed small bumps, and even though I've never had blemishes or acne except on my forehead, after using these Azulene products, they appeared all over my face. I even had to visit a dermatologist. This product is often heavily discounted on Instagram markets. If the official website price seems steep, you might want to consider purchasing it at a lower cost through Instagram. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 21, 2021
Dioderma Gel Cream / Toner I'm not a fan of sticky products, but this toner absorbs exceptionally well! After applying the toner once or twice and then layering the gel cream on top, the hydration is fantastic! As someone with redness-prone skin, using the azulene ingredient definitely seems to have a great soothing effect! Even on mask days, I'm using the toner-mask-gel cream routine! I'll definitely repurchase! For extremely dry skin, it might be a bit drying! It should work well when used with a mask though. Alternatively, layering toner + gel cream + serum might be good. (I haven't tried using a serum with it myself!) - tp*******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 28, 2021
Before I start my review, I should mention that my skin type is combination dehydrated. Due to wearing masks, I often experience blemishes and redness in the covered areas, and my skin can be quite reactive depending on my lifestyle and overall condition. I first discovered the Deodermaa Azulene line through Instagram. One of the accounts I follow was doing a group buy, which piqued my interest. (I was drawn in by how their skin transformed while using Deodermaa products, as well as the positive reviews!) So, I decided to purchase a sample kit from the Deodermaa website to test it out. I was amazed to see how quickly it calmed my blemishes overnight. This convinced me to buy the full-size products. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend trying out the sample kit like I did! (Just note that the Azulene line sample kit doesn't include the toner, FYI!) Among the Azulene line (toner, ampoule, cream), this gel cream was my favorite. The texture is quite unique - I'm not sure how to describe it! It's not thick or rich, but it has a slight viscosity without feeling heavy at all. The scent is absolutely lovely... It's like an enhanced version of the toner's fragrance, with a subtle floral note that makes applying the cream a pleasant experience. The absorption is fantastic. It glides on smoothly and feels hydrating. As you pat it in, it seems to melt into the skin. If I had to sum up this cream in one phrase, it would be 'matte but moisturized'. All the Azulene line products absorb quickly, which might initially feel dry, but I think it's just the matte finish. Despite the quick absorption, I never felt any tightness or dryness later on. However, if you have dry skin, you might want to layer another moisturizing cream on top of this during winter nights for extra hydration! Anyway... This is my first time writing a beauty product review, so I hope I'm not rambling too much. To sum up, this cream offers hydrating application + fresh and matte finish + pleasant scent + blemish-soothing properties. The biggest change I noticed after using the Deodermaa Azulene line was how incredibly soft my skin texture became. My skin used to be quite rough, and I was surprised when I touched my face while washing. Also, I stopped getting new blemishes! Usually, after wearing a mask for a long time outside, the covered areas of my face would be a mess - redness and small blemishes everywhere. But when I finish my skincare with this cream and wake up the next morning, it's amazingly calmed down! That's my review after using it for over a month. I've been layering 1-2 layers in the morning and about 3 layers at night, and I've almost finished a whole jar! So I've already bought another one... I think I'm sticking with this! +I'm updating this review with before and after photos. Some people might find the price a bit steep. Also, it's only available in limited places (as far as I know, it's only sold online at the moment), which makes it difficult for many people to access. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints about the product itself. - ch**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 11, 2021
It's incredibly moisturizing, and the gel cream texture is truly fascinating. I loved that there's absolutely no stickiness. I was a bit concerned about the PEG ingredients it contains. It also has fragrance, but I'm not sure about that aspect. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 28, 2020
The sleek packaging design and the product's natural purple hue from its ingredients make each skincare routine a delightful experience. The product has a viscous liquid consistency, making it ideal for dry skin types. Its fragrance is subtle and not overpowering (I personally avoid cosmetics with strong scents, but I tried this one as it's advertised as allergy-free). It absorbs well into the skin without feeling sticky. Despite having super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes. I'm currently using the entire Azulene line - toner, serum, and cream. While it's suitable for dry skin during summer, it falls short in providing adequate hydration and moisture balance during winter months. - an**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 15, 2020
It's moisturizing and refreshing with a cooling effect when applied. The texture absorbs well into the skin. At first, it feels hydrating, but later the moisture seems to evaporate. My skin starts to feel itchy and I get small bumps.
