When I apply this before bed, my skin has a beautiful glow the next morning! I've been using it like a sleeping mask~! The downside is that you can only apply it at night, and it's quite sticky... It caused a slight tingling sensation in sensitive areas like around my nose. - oh*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 10, 2024
This is the final product to apply after completing your skincare routine, including a light moisturizer, before going to bed. The texture is thin but absorbs quickly, leaving a thin protective layer on the skin. It makes your skin feel smooth and soft. The fragrance is pleasant. Unlike other creams that evaporate or leave an oily residue overnight, this product prevents that. You'll wake up with your skin looking just as good as when you first applied your skincare. In the morning, after rinsing with water, you'll find your skin deeply hydrated. While the price is on the higher side, it's worth the investment. The metal packaging means you'll need to squeeze from the bottom to use every last bit effectively. - se********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 11, 2023
It's gentle and provides great hydration. Plus, I didn't experience any blemishes or skin issues. It's on the pricier side, so I can't justify using it alone. I need to combine it with other products. - ri******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2023
After consistently using the parsley seed serum, I received a sample of this product. I noticed my skin felt smoother, so I decided to purchase the full-size version! While the scent is a bit strong for me, I really enjoy the herbal fragrance. The price is a bit disappointing, haha. Even though I checked the volume before buying, I was still shocked when I saw how small the product actually is... - si*********Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 2, 2023
It's so hydrating! You can feel the moisture penetrating deep into your skin. When used as an overnight treatment, it's a bit sticky and your hair might stick to it, but the results are so good that I keep using it consistently. After application, it feels a bit sticky and your hair tends to stick to it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 16, 2023
If I had to pick something, I guess the scent? Haha... Unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing I can say. It stings so badly that my face turned red immediately after applying it. I couldn't even keep it on for a minute before having to wash it off. - ev******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 15, 2023
I was worried about Aesop's strong scent, but I didn't experience any blemishes after using it! This product has great absorption and a pleasant texture that applies smoothly without stickiness. I used it during fall and winter, and it felt cool and soothing when applied, so I think it would be great for summer use too. I loved that it kept my skin hydrated until the next day, and personally, I felt like it even improved fine lines overnight. Although I don't recall seeing any claims about wrinkle improvement, I personally noticed this effect, which was the most satisfying aspect for me! One thing to note is that while it absorbs quickly, which is great, it might feel a bit tight if used alone on dry skin. So, I found it works best when combined with other moisturizing products for an overall satisfying sleeping pack experience that really charges up your skin's hydration. As expected with Aesop products, the strong scent might be polarizing. Personally, this product smelled like ginseng or red ginseng to me. If you're sensitive to fragrances, I'd recommend smelling it in-store before purchasing! The website suggests using a half teaspoon, leaving it on for 30 minutes, then wiping it off or washing it off in the morning. However, for my dry skin, leaving it on alone for 30 minutes made my face feel too tight. So when using it for longer periods, I found it best to apply it along with other skincare products or oils to maintain moisture. This way, I woke up satisfied with the results the next morning! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 26, 2023
I bought this after the store staff introduced it as a hydrating mask that doesn't need to be washed off. When I apply it after exfoliating and sleep with it on, my skin doesn't feel dry in the morning. It's great that I don't have to rinse it off. Considering the volume and effectiveness, it's quite pricey. After application, it leaves my skin feeling greasy and sticky, causing my hair to stick to my face. It works well when mixed with Vitamin C gel and applied together. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 10, 2023
The biggest advantage is how lightweight it feels when applied. I actually use it at the office when I feel my skin getting dry, as a product that won't significantly affect my makeup. It's great to use because it's so light. Though I'm not sure if this is the right way to use it... (A store employee recommended it for this purpose) It dries quickly, causing a slight tightness, but there's a subtle glow that gives a protective barrier-like feeling, which isn't bad - gk*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 23, 2022
I usually apply this before bed and wash it off in the morning. Unlike other brands' hydrating facial mask creams, it doesn't feel too thin, greasy, or evaporate quickly. Instead, it calms my skin and prevents moisture loss, so I could clearly see the difference in my skin texture when cleansing in the morning. I loved that it's refreshing without being insubstantial or overly light. There's nothing particularly disappointing, but if you're looking for a dense, oil-rich night cream, this product might not be suitable. It has a slightly thin, ointment-like texture and contains both oil and moisture, but feels more hydration-focused. My skin type is combination and sensitive, so I use a product like Aesop's 'B Triple C Facial Balancing Gel' to maintain oil and moisture balance after cleansing, and then apply the Blue Chamomile Facial Hydrating Mask on top. Using the Blue Chamomile Facial Hydrating Mask as a night cream prevents skin from drying out or getting polluted by external factors during sleep. This means when I wake up in the morning, there's less excess oil naturally produced by my skin due to dryness, which in turn reduces blemishes. It works hard for my skin!
