This product seems to offer great value for money. I picked it up at the supermarket for about $10 (177ml). It absorbs well, making it nice for applying on the body too. While there's a slight white cast, the smooth application means you don't get that floating face effect if you blend it well. I actually liked how it gave a slight brightening effect to my complexion. Its emulsion-like texture makes it perfect for summer use! These days in Korea, there's a big focus on ingredients, with many products free from harmful substances. Considering that, it's a bit disappointing this one contains some questionable ingredients. Also, when I'm out and about after applying it, I can feel moisture (sweat maybe?) on my skin. It's strange because I've never experienced this with other sunscreens. Whether it's sweat or the sunscreen melting, my face and hands feel damp. It's not terribly uncomfortable, but it's definitely noticeable and quite unusual compared to other products I've used. While it's labeled as a mineral-based sun emulsion, the ingredient list includes octisalate. From what I can tell, both in terms of how it absorbs and its composition, it seems to be a hybrid sunscreen. Those looking for purely physical sunscreens should take note of this! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 17, 2019
My skin is super sensitive and tends to react quickly - even a slight mistake in sunscreen application can cause irritation within 10 minutes. I forgot to bring my usual sunscreen, so I had to pop into a random store in the US and picked this up. Since it's marketed for babies, I figured it would be gentle enough for my skin. To my surprise, it hasn't caused any blemishes, so I've been using it regularly. The downside is that even when applying a small amount, it immediately turns white and leaves a noticeable cast, essentially forcing a brightening effect, which is disappointing. Also, it's quite challenging to remove - you really need to work hard with your cleanser to get it all off, which can be a bit of a hassle. It's a good idea to gently exfoliate after using this sunscreen. Otherwise, you might find some residue left on your skin.
