Sphinx is an incredibly unique and mysterious color. It has a mother-of-pearl sheen with a pink-beige base that shifts to a light green depending on how the light hits it. It's not like those intense idol glitters that are trendy now, but rather a shimmery velvet glow that looks luxurious. The texture is extremely smooth and creamy, so it glides onto the eyelids effortlessly. The amount you get is so generous that you could use it for a lifetime and still have some left to pass down as an heirloom. I bought mine last year, and I've barely made a dent in it. It's still as fresh as the day I got it, with no signs of drying out. If you apply too much, it can crease (in the eyelid fold and under the eyes). I'm too lazy for eye primer, so I tried applying it over a very light beige eyeshadow base, but it creased even more. For this product, the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is the perfect match.
