I bought this because I love Yves Saint Laurent's signature wine or berry scent. The color payoff is great, so I think it'll last a long time. The color payoff is great and the shade is versatile and easy to wear! It's more like a crayon texture rather than being moisturizing. There is some transfer, but the price is a bit high... Still, it's convenient for frequent application throughout the day.

The natural look isn't overwhelming, so I find myself applying it frequently throughout the day. While I can hardly find any downsides, I will say that because it's so moisturizing, it does tend to wear off easily. You need to reapply often, so it's not the best value for money. Layer it with velvet or tint products to improve longevity. It pairs beautifully with Rom&nd Matte Lipstick #9 (not an ad or promotion). It's already well-known as an affordable dupe for YSL. The best thing about the Rouge Volupté line is how it applies with a moisturizing and clear finish. Shade 86 feels like the quintessential 'my lips but better' color! The case is pretty and soft. That's about it. The color payoff is incredibly weak compared to when I swatched it on the back of my hand. I have to apply it 3-4 times to get a hint of rose-brown. It seems like it'll come off super easily. I bought it because it was supposed to be good for daily use even for mute~cool tones, but it's disappointing. My lips are sensitive these days, and with such poor ingredients, I'm worried it might cause cheilitis.
