An excellent choice for pomade beginners! Reasons why: 1. Nearly matte finish, so it's not overwhelming 2. Clay-type formula makes application a breeze 3. Doesn't set too quickly, perfect for styling novices 4. Lovely subtle vanilla scent Applying too much can leave a white residue Those who prefer a shinier look might find it lacking Not recommended for use on damp hair If you notice any white residue, simply comb it through or use a hairdryer on low heat to blend it in - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinMar 12, 2022
I bought this product to try at my first beauty shop visit. I'm not sure how to evaluate it since I haven't used other products... For some reason, my eyes sting when I apply it... I'm looking for a different product now. I've never had allergies before and I thought my skin wasn't particularly sensitive. - pa******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 13, 2022
Absorbs well and has great cleansing effectiveness. The moderate hold is a plus. If you're not confident with a blow dryer, styling can be a bit challenging due to the hold. You might need to use additional hairspray. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 4, 2022
Impressive in all aspects - shine-locking power, application, and scent. It's reliably good across the board. I was particularly surprised by how the fragrance seems versatile enough for any season. Those with coarse hair or less experience with blow-drying might find it less satisfying. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedSep 7, 2021
Not too shiny Absorbs well Great product for beginners to style their hair Washes out very easily Has a minty scent. Would have repurchased if not for the fragrance. Slightly sticky and doesn't harden completely, making it easy to style but with weak hold. I have coarse, straight hair that I'm growing out for a slick back style. Surprisingly, it shaped my hair well, but the hold doesn't last long and loses its strength. For perfect hold, using hairspray might help. While this reduces cleansing effectiveness, it seems to wash out better than a wax + hairspray combo, so it's worth considering. Weak hold means you need to blow-dry intensively. Based on experience with coarse, straight hair. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 30, 2021
As someone with wavy hair that always tends to frizz, I love how this product keeps my hair in place! Plus, I really enjoy its sweet scent. The only downside is that you need to wash your hair twice and be thorough with the cleansing. That's about it. If you apply this product and then set it with hairspray, your style will last all day long. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 26, 2019
It absorbs well and is great for beginners. There's not much shine, and it cleanses effectively. The staying power is quite disappointing. It doesn't last throughout the day. You'll need to set it with a spray or something similar. - ku********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 16, 2019
I stumbled upon this product at a barbershop and loved the scent so much I had to buy it. It's like... vanilla ice cream? Even with my super short crop cut, it sets and holds my style just the way I want. Being water-based, it's much easier to wash out than wax, which is a big plus! For a pomade, it's on the lower end of the shine spectrum. If you're into high shine, you might want to go for the red or blue versions instead. Pro tip: Don't dry your hair completely. Apply when it's slightly damp for easier application and a subtle glow that gives a beautiful finish.
