My American boyfriend bought me the 'Sea Island Cotton' body emulsion and shower gel, and I've been using them. At first, I thought the scent was too strong, but the more I used it, the more I liked it. It's really refreshing. This product started my love affair with Bath & Body Works. The fragrance is quite strong (especially in the body emulsion). However, because of this, it lasts long (as do most Bath & Body Works products) and you don't need to use a separate perfume. In my opinion, those who prefer sweet and very feminine scents might not like 'Sea Island Cotton'... The scent is unique and... well, distinctive. It has a cool baby powder fragrance. The staying power is too weak, and I didn't realize the ingredients were this unfavorable. To be honest, unless the scent is really good, I probably wouldn't use it again. The fragrance is truly delightful, and it has impressive staying power. However, perhaps due to the ingredients, it doesn't agree with my super sensitive skin.

However, I have to say this emulsion isn't particularly hydrating. I purchased this through international shipping, relying only on the fragrance description. While I generally enjoy neutral scents, this one didn't meet my expectations. Personally, I find the cool and musky notes don't blend well together. It has a somewhat sour, off-putting smell. The joy of using a body emulsion is savoring the scent as you apply it, but this fragrance just doesn't work for me.

Though the ingredients aren't the best, I don't use it daily, just occasionally. The ingredients are surprisingly not great... There are so many potential allergens. But I still use it for the scent. Since the hydration and ingredients aren't particularly good, it's best to use a different product for moisturizing. Use this one just for the fragrance, like applying it to specific areas of your legs rather than all over. The fragrance is exactly like a clean perfume scent. I was expecting a sweet, vanilla-like lingering scent as mentioned, but that's not the case... It's just a strong detergent-like aroma. On the plus side - it has a pure, detergent-like scent that gives a clean and comfortable feeling. The downside - despite being an emulsion, its hydration power is terrible... Moreover, the ingredients are extremely poor quality. Even if the ingredients weren't great, I'd continue using it if the scent was good, but that's not the case here. I love the milky baby scent. I'm using it together with a mist! The hydration doesn't last very long. Not recommended for winter!
