NARS lipstick in Schiap is a matte lipstick without any oiliness. The color is a vibrant pink with a slight purple tint, giving it a deep pink hue. It's similar to Candy Yum-Yum but a bit darker and more intense. It's a lovely cool-toned lipstick! Being matte, it has excellent color payoff and staying power. Despite its matte finish, it applies evenly without clumping. However, I did feel a bit of dryness with this lipstick. The biggest drawback is the lipstick case. Since it's also matte, it gets dirty easily. Wiping it with a wet wipe doesn't clean it well, as if something's stuck to rubber. When I tried cleaning it with alcohol, it turned white. While the case is small and pretty, this aspect is a total fail. - cu**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinDead Skin CellsDec 21, 2024
This lip product was all the rage in late 2012 to early 2013, famously worn by celebrities like Yoon Eun-hye and So Yi-hyun. The colors were truly stunning back then. It's an incredibly matte formula. Be cautious as it can really emphasize dry, flaky lips. Apply a generous layer of lip balm before using this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 9, 2022
The cool and vibrant pink shade is so refreshing! Since cooler tones with less white undertones suit me better, I found it perfect when layered over a neutral, slightly warm base lip color. The compact and lightweight case makes it super portable. When I bought it at the department store, the lighting didn't make it look this cool-toned. Upon opening it at home, I was a bit surprised by how cool and intense the color actually is. It's slightly off from my natural tone, but I still wear it because I like the shade. - li*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 27, 2021
This matte lipstick is a game-changer! One swipe and it adheres perfectly to your lips, maintaining its true color for hours without the need for touch-ups. It's so long-lasting that it stays put even when you're drinking water, unless you deliberately remove it. Despite being a completely matte formula, it's surprisingly easy to apply. It glides on smoothly, precisely following your lip contours and setting beautifully - that's the real highlight. It doesn't transfer much onto masks and doesn't leave your lips feeling particularly dry, making it a great choice for everyday wear. I've included a swatch comparison with YSL Volupté Shine in Fuchsia on my palm. Considering the price-to-volume ratio, it's on the expensive side. However, its matte formula means the lipstick is firm rather than soft, so it should last you a long time. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 18, 2020
The color is perfect for my skin (which leans towards cool tones). It applies smoothly, has a matte finish without being drying. It gives my face a brightened, luminous appearance. The case material sometimes attracts dust. Other than that, I can't think of any drawbacks. Full color application for emphasis, or gently dabbed on the inner parts of the lips for a natural look. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 19, 2020
This is perfect for summer cool tones. The purple and plum undertones make your face look vibrant. It's a nostalgic lipstick that caused a nationwide sellout when So Yi-hyun wore it in the drama 'Cheongdam-dong Alice'. The ingredients aren't great. Also, white dust tends to stick to the case, which is a bit frustrating. The color payoff is excellent even without a base lipstick. It pairs well with a light purple blush. This shade would likely suit those with fair skin. I have a pale complexion (about shade 13), and my friends say this is my holy grail lipstick when I wear it. - ha*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityJan 12, 2020
The application and color payoff are excellent, and even with my sensitive skin, I had no adverse reactions. Plus, the case design is really pretty! The color is deceiving. While it appears to be a fuchsia or hot pink to the naked eye, once applied to the lips, it's just a dull, purplish shade with a hint of maroon. This lipstick makes my complexion look unhealthy. I don't understand why it's so popular. Even though it's marketed as a cool-toned lipstick, it seems to only suit certain cool-toned individuals. When purchasing, make sure to test the color on yourself at the store before buying. Despite it not suiting me, I bought it because it's known as one of the most popular cool-toned lipsticks from NARS, second only to Dragon Girl.
