After applying to the lips and letting it dry a bit, it barely transfers when blotted with a tissue. They describe the color as pink rose, but that's nonsense - it's definitely coral rose. As a warm-toned gal, I snatched it up right away. When applied heavily, it gives off a dried rose red vibe. It has a calm, toned-down feel, and while it's a coral rose/red, it doesn't have any orange undertones, which I love since I'm not a fan of orange shades. It's tricky to control the amount. The tint barely comes out of the hole, making me want to just squeeze the whole tube out. - Hwahae UserOily SkinMar 31, 2020
The container design is convenient to use and seems hygienic. While the color is different from what I expected, it's still pretty. Even after multiple applications, the color doesn't change, and the staining is consistent without turning into an odd shade. The color is extremely different from the description photos posted online! I thought it would be a MLBB shade with a slight coral-pink brown tone suitable for both warm and cool undertones, but it's actually a very orange-tinted warm tone. Cool-toned people can't use this at all, unfortunately. Also, it's difficult to layer the product smoothly, and it tends to pill, making it tricky to apply a more intense color. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 19, 2020
I'm completely satisfied! This one product is all you need to create a perfect gradient lip look. It's my first time trying something from Nature Republic, and I'm really impressed! It can pill if you're not careful, and if you squeeze out too much product, there's no way to put it back. So sad! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 3, 2020
This is by far my favorite lip product I've bought recently. As someone with warm undertones, I usually don't like pink or rose shades, but this gorgeous rose color seems like it would suit both cool and warm tones. What I love most is how it stains the lips perfectly. The finish is velvety and powdery, yet it feels incredibly hydrating, so there's no dryness at all. It's a real steal when you catch it on sale! The only slight downside is that it can be a bit tricky to control the amount you apply. Other than that, I haven't found anything to complain about yet. It's just so, so beautiful! When you apply it as a gradient, it gives such a delicate, soft look - it's absolutely stunning! And if you top it off with a lip plumper or balm, it's absolutely amazing! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedFeb 24, 2020
It's absolutely gorgeous and so moisturizing! It has a dried rose feel with just a hint of deep brown mixed in. While it's not the type that makes dead skin cells disappear completely, I'm really satisfied with its velvety texture that feels like wrapping yourself in a soft blanket. Of course, you can't expect this type to have long-lasting power. It's also beautiful when used for gradient lips. Apply a nude lip base and gently blend this in the center. Just make sure to close the cap with a firm click. I read a review somewhere about the cap coming off and causing a disaster in someone's makeup pouch... heartbreaking! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJan 31, 2020
It's truly amazing for winter! Keeps my skin moisturized and soft, I absolutely love it! It tends to pill a bit if you don't exfoliate those dead skin cells. Also, it's tricky to get the right amount. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 16, 2019
Color_ The new velvet lip product comes in a romantic, low-chroma pink rose shade. However, the camera doesn't do it justice, making it appear more orange than it actually is. In reality, it's a moody rose color - a mix of red, pink, and berry tones. It's quite an enigmatic shade, with just a hint of orange that's much subtler than what the photos show. The camera really didn't capture it well! (I've added an extra photo without text as the edited one with text came out yellowish and still didn't capture the true color.) Applicator_ The integrated applicator has a slanted cut with a velvety texture, making it incredibly easy to create gradients. I found it very convenient and pleasant to use for smooth gradient application. Moisture_ While I can't guarantee it won't feel dry if worn alone in winter, I did notice some inner hydration. The outer texture has a light, airy velvet feel that's perfectly matte without being drying - just my style! Personal opinion_ This has become my daily go-to, paired with a nude lip. I'm in love with the velvet texture, and the gradient application is so effortless. It feels moisturizing when applied, which makes the whole experience really enjoyable. While there are many positives, I found controlling the amount of product a bit tricky. Also, although the tint doesn't leak when opening and closing the cap, it tends to get messy around the edges of the case, which can be inconvenient when it gets on your hands. I was also surprised by some of the ingredients listed as cautions. Apart from these points, I don't have any other complaints! If you struggle with creating gradients, you absolutely must try this product. It's a game-changer!
