However, the result was close to being the worst perfume experience for me. The reason? The lingering scent. It doesn't seem spoiled, with an expiration date well into next year. The initial scent is briefly invigorating - perhaps blood orange? But that pleasant first impression is fleeting. Despite containing orange, it doesn't have that distinctive citrus feel. There's a slight spicy note too, but it's momentary. The fragrance notes include peony, jasmine, blonde wood, woody vanilla, and honey, but I couldn't detect these due to the peculiar rubber doll-like lingering scent. Perfumes can be tricky - sometimes the opening is great but the dry-down disappoints, or vice versa. Personally, if any aspect doesn't appeal to me, I won't purchase it. It's challenging to find a fragrance I love from top notes to base. While I dislike overly smoky, woody scents like Tom Ford's Black Orchid, I can usually tolerate other fragrances even if they're not my style. However, the rubber doll-like lingering scent of Fantasia Mermaid was consistently difficult to adapt to. I've enjoyed other Anna Sui fragrances before, like La Vie de Bohème or their original releases. Fantasia Mermaid, despite its fresh color, left me disappointed with its lingering scent. The lingering scent has a subtle rubber doll-like quality that seems to last forever, which is why I described it as the worst. The Anna Sui packaging is totally my style! I love the Mermaid line's scent and used it well. I can already see the bottom of the container... The scent is light and refreshing. It has a delightful orange fragrance with subtle floral notes. And the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! It features a mermaid holding a seahorse, which is truly stunning. It wasn't quite to my taste. After some time, it becomes pleasantly sweet, but initially, it gives me a slight headache and has a somewhat musty smell.

True to Anna Sui's style, the bottle design is absolutely stunning - definitely its biggest selling point. The fragrance has impressive staying power too. Even after showering, I could still detect a subtle, lingering scent. Finally, the floral notes in the dry-down really suited my taste. Although I generally prefer unisex fragrances, I was taken aback by the strong, masculine cologne-like scent that hit me immediately after spraying. Anna Sui's Fantasia Mermaid fragrance is refreshing and zesty. The initial scent is a strong orange aroma, making it perfect for summer wear. The lingering scent is also pleasant, and it's a light, easy-to-apply perfume. Unfortunately, this perfume doesn't have long-lasting staying power, and the scent fades quickly. Also, the bottle size isn't very convenient for carrying around.

I loved the unique fragrance! The initial scent is a bit floral, but as time passes, it becomes somewhat spicy, which I really enjoy! This perfume is perfect for summer! The lingering scent is particularly delightful. The bottle design is absolutely stunning. I wasn't impressed with the initial scent, but after a while, the lingering fragrance won me over. I'm still using it because of that.
