- It doesn't transfer to your hands when applying, which is fantastic - When applied and blended, it creates a beautiful skin finish - Great coverage! The color seems pretty too - If your skin condition is even slightly off, it really shows - The staying power is poor... The adherence isn't great, so in these mask-wearing times, it all rubs off on your mask - As you use the container, the foundation gets pushed around and becomes messy - It seems to emphasize dead skin cells quite badly - ea*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinJan 20, 2021
It's really pretty - not an oily, greasy look, but has a radiant glow that's noticeable you're wearing makeup. Compared to the subtle glow of the Banila Co Glow Fit, this has a more intense, inner-lit kind of glow. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's just beautiful. The size is also quite compact, so it's easy to carry around in a pocket or pouch. But you'll need to use the right tools with it... I can't fully recommend it due to the transfer issue. If that could be resolved, like when wearing a mask, this would be my go-to winter base. But the thought of having to find a new holy grail next winter makes me a bit sad... If only I didn't have to wear a mask, that would be the biggest regret. Being a stick formula, it does tend to apply quite thickly. If I just swipe it on, it ends up really caking and transferring when I wear a mask. The transfer is just inevitable...all the photos I took with a mask on looked patchy. After just lightly blotting with my fingers, the initial glow and skin-like finish disappears. It's just gone (the mask is the ultimate villain here). The longevity doesn't seem exceptional, but it's not terribly disappointing either. Just have to be careful not to drop it - you can see my compact is a bit dented. Some other brands have built-in brushes with their stick foundations, but this one doesn't have that feature. You're absolutely right, using a setting powder or spray is essential to minimize transfer with this product. The ultimate tip would be to just not wear a mask at all... but by the time the pandemic is over, the expiration date on this will likely have passed already. Holika Holika should really come out with a reformulated version of this! I'd love to be able to enjoy the beautiful glow without the mask-related issues. - ym********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 15, 2020
It applies incredibly smoothly and feels hydrating while providing excellent coverage and adherence. The color comes out beautifully too. I bought it without high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by how gorgeous it looks! I haven't found any drawbacks yet. If I notice any after using it more, I'll update my review. Be careful not to apply too much, or it might look cakey. Just pat it on lightly in thin layers for the best result. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedOct 13, 2019
Coverage: True to its 'hard cover' claim, the coverage is impressive. It conceals blemishes almost completely. Even pore coverage is decent. Adherence: I applied it with a puff, and the results were satisfactory - meeting expectations. Hydration: The 'glow' in its name isn't just for show. It's incredibly moisturizing. For a stick foundation, the level of hydration is surprisingly good. First issue: The shade is extremely light. This is why reviews are crucial. I bought it without checking, assuming the '13-21' range meant it would work for 21 too, but it's essentially just 13. Second issue: Being a stick formula that's both glowy and hydrating, it tends to smudge easily. If you apply too much pressure like I did, you'll end up with a miracle of smearing all over your face. Since I ended up with shade 13, I'm now using it as a highlighter on areas where I want to add dimension to my face.
