As someone with super sensitive skin, I've always sought out products with minimal ingredients that are gentle on sensitive skin. However, those products never really improved my skin - they just didn't cause any blemishes. Last winter, I bought this product at a department store with some skepticism, but it was truly excellent for calming my skin irritations! I was worried it might be too rich for my skin since I also have small bumps, but surprisingly, it actually soothed my skin. It's amazingly effective... You'll have to put up with the inconvenience of warming up this oily product in your hands before applying it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 9, 2020
As someone with atopic dermatitis, my knees and elbows are always itchy with red patches, but this one product takes care of it all. It might seem funny for an adult to use baby cream, but with its great ingredients, it's a holy grail item even pregnant women can use! It comes with a spatula, making application super convenient. The container is too fragile. I accidentally dropped it while opening, and it immediately dented. I'm worried it might get more damaged, making it difficult to open and close, so I'm only using it at home now. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 3, 2020
I actually requested this product to be added to Hwahae because I was curious about it, as the brand and product weren't registered there. I think it's absolutely top-notch for soothing and hydration. As someone who's tried all the products in this line, I can say that while they may seem similar, this one truly stands out for its soothing properties. It's incredibly effective at calming the skin. I had some unexplained skin condition or rash on the bridge of my nose, but after applying only this product for 3-4 days while wearing a mask (and skipping makeup on my nose), it completely cleared up! This has become such an essential part of my routine that I feel lost without it. It's perfect for combination dehydrated skin - you know, when your nose is an oil slick but your cheeks are desperately dry. Honestly, I thought applying it to my nose would clog my pores and cause blemishes, but it didn't at all. Instead, it actually helped heal my skin as I mentioned earlier. I always make sure to stock up on multiple bottles of this product. The scent is a bit unusual due to the mix of various oils, which initially put me off using it. However, once I got used to it, I found myself really enjoying the fragrance! If you've stocked up on multiple bottles, make sure to store the unopened ones in the refrigerator! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMar 11, 2020
Since there's no face cream category, I'm leaving this review under baby cream. I've been using it for about a year, and it's an excellent moisturizer. With consistent use, you might even notice a slight brightening effect. The natural ingredients make it trustworthy, and I believe it helps strengthen the skin barrier. Due to the shea butter content, those with oily skin should use only a tiny amount. As it's a deeply hydrating cream, it can feel a bit sticky, which might bother some people. I recommend applying a generous amount before bed. During the day, since you'll need to layer other products like sunscreen, try using about half the amount you'd use at night. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 20, 2020
I'm satisfied with this product as it contains no chemical ingredients and has a soothing effect when applied, even on itchy skin. While it's understandable due to the lack of chemical ingredients, it's a bit inconvenient to scoop out and apply with your hands. When mixed with foundation, you can achieve a dewy makeup look. People who see me keep complimenting me on how my skin has improved. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 20, 2020
★This is my holy grail product★ ★I hope this brand stays in business★ The seller has a heart of gold, donating part of their profits to help people in Africa. I have extremely dry skin, so in winter I'd scratch until I got wounds. My face has never been in good condition - it's pale, my cheeks are red, it's a mess. No matter what I apply, my face feels like it's about to tear apart. Is summer any better? Nope! I'm still dying from deep dryness then too. Like most with super dry skin, I'd buy anything labeled 'for extremely dry skin' hoping it might work, but even the famous Physiogel didn't help. So I'd use Physiogel topped with the pricey L'Occitane shea butter as that combo made my face feel less tight and sore for longer. I thought there couldn't be a better combination and used this for years. Then I discovered this unrefined shea butter product sold as 'African Shea Butter Karité'. It was unbelievably cheap and freed me from deep dryness! Apparently the old-fashioned packaging and strong scent made it hard for others to buy, so I promoted it enthusiastically and bought tons to give away, hoping this place selling good products would thrive. This product (Belle de Mang) is from the Karité Research Lab which recently changed its name. I've been using 100% unrefined shea butter for years, but when this product mixed with oils came out as they entered department stores, I thought the 100% version was gone and bought this - and fell in love. The texture has improved, so even the 100% unrefined melts better than before, and this one melts even more easily. The texture is much better, and it doesn't have that distinct unrefined scent - instead there's a subtle, fresh fragrance that's not artificial and I love it. In the photo with three jars, the one with the cat sticker is the shea butter before the texture improvement. It had a zombie-like color. The middle one is 100% unrefined shea butter. The sophisticated packaging on the right is the baby cream from before the name change. The case dents easily, so if you drop it, it might not open and close properly. When recycling, you need to remove the sticker for proper sorting, but the sticker doesn't come off easily, which is a bit disappointing. Some might find the price steep, but if you check the sales site, you can get it for around 40,000 won with discounts. Most importantly, as someone with extremely dry skin who uses it daily regardless of season, I think it's cheap considering it lasts almost a year. ★The 100% unrefined was about 180g for 15,000 won, while this is 135g for around 40,000 won. Of course, the 100% unrefined has that characteristic earthy scent of shea butter, but it's not overpowering. If you're not sensitive, you can use it on your body. This baby cream seems fine for facial use too. I use these two for a year. ★When I was pregnant, I applied it generously on my belly for 10 months and didn't get any stretch marks. I had severe morning sickness, but the scent was relaxing and nice. It would make a great gift for pregnant women. ★While I don't have atopy, I heard it's recommended in atopy communities. ★The 100% unrefined is only sold on 11st, not on the Belle de Mang site. If you check the reviews there, you'll see many long-time buyers (including me). ★In my case, regardless of summer or winter, I only apply shea butter at night. In the morning, I apply a hydrating moisturizer first, then this baby cream - just adjusting the amount between summer and winter. When I do this before makeup, I don't need to do a separate dewy makeup routine, and there's no deep dryness even when touching up makeup. ★About once a week, I apply a generous amount, massage it in, then cleanse - it removes sebum while keeping skin hydrated. It works especially well on the nose!
