I've been using this since I was young, so I haven't really thought about switching to another brand. I just keep using it. Here's why I've stuck with it: 1. Adequate hydration 2. Value for money 3. Accessibility 1. Hydration: It's not like it's overflowing with moisture or has amazing hydration, but it provides just enough to keep your lips from drying out when they're parched. That doesn't mean the hydration is lacking at all! 2 & 3. Value and Accessibility: Honestly, I think all solid lip balms are pretty similar. Nivea lip care is a big winner because you can easily find it anywhere - convenience stores, pharmacies, Daiso, Olive Young, etc. Plus, at just 3-4000 won, it's hard to beat. I don't think there's a lip balm out there that can top this combination. 4. Color: It might look like it has some special color, but it's actually colorless. It doesn't give a glossy shine either. It's perfect for those who don't want it to be obvious they're wearing lip balm. Plus: In summer, most lip balms tend to melt easily, but Nivea holds up pretty well for carrying around. Just don't keep it next to your hand warmers in winter - it'll melt, of course! 1. Scent: This is my first time trying the mango flavor, and it has an artificial mango scent. I probably won't choose mango again after this. 2. Exfoliation: Sometimes when I use tint incorrectly, I get severe flaking. No matter how much I apply this balm, I don't see any immediate effects. It doesn't even soften the dead skin cells. I'd recommend using a different care product in these situations. 3. Nighttime Use: I want to apply it generously before bed, but it feels like it only applies up to a certain point and then just adds oil. Lately, I've started using other products with adjustable amounts separately... 4. Summer Use: It might feel a bit heavy during the summer months. - mi*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessOct 23, 2023
The scent is surprisingly more mango-like, sweet, and intense than I expected. The strong fragrance can sometimes cause headaches, which makes me hesitant to use it regularly. I'd recommend this as a nice little gift option. - 20*********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedAug 27, 2023
The mango scent is intense! It's reminiscent of a perfectly ripe mango - delightfully tart and sweet. The fragrance is a real treat for your nose! Plus, true to Nivea's reputation, the hydration lasts incredibly long. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lip care product with excellent moisturizing power. While the mango scent is strong and pleasant, it does come across as a bit overly artificial. It's not very natural, and I wouldn't confidently recommend this product to those who dislike synthetic, chemical-like cosmetic fragrances. For such individuals, I'd suggest trying something else instead! It lasts longer than expected and doesn't smudge easily! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 9, 2023
The Gold Standard of Moisturizing Lip Balms My lip condition: If I go even 3 days without lip balm, my lips crack and dead skin cells build up like crazy. I constantly feel dryness and flaking is a major issue. Why I chose this: I've used Nivea lip balms extensively, and they're so affordable! I can buy them without hesitation. This is my first time trying Mango Shine, and being a mango lover, I was excited and curious to give it a go! Texture: It glides on like butter! Many lip balms can be stiff or lack hydration, but true to Nivea form, this one melts smoothly, giving a subtle moisturizing glow. No greasy feeling either, which is great. Color: Given its yellow hue, there is a slight yellow tint. However, once applied to the lips, it's barely noticeable. I was worried about the yellow color, but it just adds a subtle warmth without being obvious - perfect! Hydration: The moisturizing power is definitely there! One application lasts about 2 hours. It's nicely hydrating and moisturizing, which is why I highly recommend it. Scent: There's a subtle mango fragrance! As a mango enthusiast, I absolutely love it. Unlike the Nivea light blue lip balm that smells a bit like food waste, this one captures the essence of mango perfectly. Overall: First off, great value for money! While other Nivea lip balms are good, personally, I found this one to be the best. The pleasant scent and noticeable hydration make it a truly recommendable product. It even eliminated all my dead skin cells! Keep in mind that the color is yellow. While it doesn't show much on the lips, you should be aware that there is a slight yellow tint. For those with very pale lips, the yellow tint might be more noticeable. Also, being a lip balm, it has virtually no staining power, which is something to be aware of. My personal tip is to apply this before bed! Layer it on two or three times, and you'll wake up to flake-free, clean lips. For quicker dead skin cell removal, apply the lip balm before sleeping, and the next morning when the dead skin is softened, gently wipe with a cotton pad. This will easily remove the flakes, leaving you with beautiful, smooth lips. - ss*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinJan 25, 2023
Scent: The mango fragrance is absolutely delightful! Design: The case design is adorably cute! Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the ingredients. The hydration power leaves much to be desired. Sadly, there was hardly any noticeable difference between applying it and not applying it. - ha********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedJan 20, 2023
The scent is the best among lip balms available in stores. Personally, I found its moisturizing power to be superior to strawberry or cherry-scented ones. If you dislike tinted lip balms but want one with a great fragrance, I highly recommend this. It's widely available at Daiso stores. It's noticeably softer than other lip balms. In summer, you might want to use it only at home. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 14, 2023
The mango scent is delightful, and it gives a lovely shimmer when applied! It also provides quite good hydration. The yellow design is super cute! Apart from the ingredients being slightly less than ideal, there's nothing really to complain about! I absolutely recommend this product! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJan 3, 2023
It seems perfect for quick touch-ups when you're out and about without your regular lip balm. Unfortunately, it feels like it just sits on the lips without absorbing, which is a bit disappointing. - jj******Oily SkinAcne SkinNov 6, 2022
I loved the sweet scent. I was worried the orange tint of the lip balm would make my lips look orange, but thankfully it didn't! It was a bit disappointing that my lips looked too shiny after application... Due to the glossiness, I had to blot it with a tissue to remove some of the product before use. - ss*******Oily SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresOct 3, 2022
The staying power is excellent. While the color is a deep yellow, it doesn't appear yellow when applied. However, I noticed it leaves a yellow tint when wiped off. The scent is supposed to be mango, but it feels quite artificial.
