- The transparent formula absorbs well into the skin and leaves a subtle glow as a finish - At night, you can apply it generously as a sleeping mask for extra nourishment Hmm...? To be honest... there's nothing bad to say. I really can't think of any downsides. What am I supposed to write here? The hydration is fantastic! I've tried several hyaluronic acid serums, and this one seems to be among the best. The lavender scent is quite strong... As someone who prefers fragrance-free products, I think this might be a love-it-or-hate-it situation. - xo******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 22, 2021
The packaging is adorably cute, shaped like a soap bar. The transparent, runny texture initially had a scent I wasn't fond of, but my roommate liked it, so it's probably just personal preference. I appreciate that it doesn't contain artificial fragrances, which is a plus. I typically enjoy layering multiple lightweight skincare products, and this one fits the bill perfectly. It's light enough to apply a moisturizer on top without any issues. Even when I use the same amount for my daytime routine as I do at night, there's no pilling under makeup. When applied, it makes my skin feel firm and bouncy, making it satisfying to pat in for better absorption. I wouldn't recommend this to someone looking for dramatic, visible changes or expecting heavy hydration. - qh*******Combination SkinRecommendedFeb 19, 2021
- Absorbs quickly even when applied generously, especially when patted in with your hands. - After absorption, it leaves no residue on the skin, as if the product has been fully absorbed. It has a fresh, slightly tacky finish that's perfect for summer use. - I wasn't aware of the ingredients, but it contains alcohol. Perhaps that's why, despite its fresh and slightly sticky feel after absorption, it doesn't leave an intensely hydrated sensation. - gl*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 22, 2020
First off, it absorbs well, so it has excellent application. It also feels soothing when you apply it. The next morning, I wake up to smooth skin, which puts me in a great mood. However, this product alone isn't enough for dry skin. After a while, my face feels tight, and I notice dead skin cells on my nose. I want to keep using this product, but my skin is just too dry. - cr******Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedOct 8, 2020
•Texture and Scent: A gel-type with enough viscosity to prevent dripping. The fragrance is unique, reminiscent of watercolor paints freshly squeezed out of the tube. •Application: When applied thinly, it maintains adequate hydration while absorbing quickly. In the evening, you can apply a thicker layer without any stickiness, making it comfortable to sleep with. •Moisturizing power: After a 7-skin routine, a thin layer leaves the skin feeling pleasantly hydrated. During summer, using just this essence was sufficient, but from the changing seasons onwards, you'll need to follow up with a moisturizer/nourishing cream to avoid any feeling of dryness. •For combination skin with dry and sensitive cheeks outside the T-zone, I used this for about ten days without any irritation or blemishes. While the ingredients are gentle and the moisturizing power is decent, its slightly slippery texture made me less inclined to reach for it during the summer months. It seems best to use this product by applying a thin, even layer after thoroughly completing your toner step. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 21, 2020
This is truly one of my holy grails. It passes the test for great ingredients, and on top of that, it's incredibly hydrating. After applying, I feel like my skin gets a proper moisture recharge, which is so satisfying. There's an instant brightening effect on my face. It forms a proper barrier and has excellent soothing properties too. Highly recommended as a barrier essence for summer. If your skin feels a bit vulnerable or like your skin barrier is weakening, start with a good toner base, then apply this generously and let it absorb. You'll notice significant recovery by the next day. Due to the nature of hyaluronic acid products, applying too much can lead to pilling. For those who wear makeup, I recommend using it in the evening. In winter, you might need to combine it with a heavier cream. In summer, this essence paired with a hydrating gel was perfect for me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 12, 2020
As someone with super sensitive skin, I was worried, but this product worked well for me. It's gentle yet moisturizing, and I'm quite satisfied. I'd definitely repurchase it. There's nothing particularly bad to mention, but I wish they'd release a larger size. While it absorbs well, it seems to run out quickly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 15, 2020
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I often found that using the wrong essence or cream would solve dryness to some extent, but also increase oiliness, making my skin feel congested and prone to blemishes. This product, however, absorbs quickly and feels refreshing, providing hydration without any excess oil. It's amazing how it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight at all. At first, I didn't notice much because my skin didn't feel extremely soft or moist, but I was impressed by how it kept my skin hydrated without dryness, prevented dead skin cells from forming, and maintained moisture without any tightness. When I first used it after applying my regular toner, it felt extremely sticky, possibly due to poor absorption. The stickiness on my hands after application was quite unpleasant. You need to be careful as it can easily become sticky if not applied correctly. When I used it alone or after allowing other skincare products to fully absorb, it applied smoothly without stickiness and left a nice, soft finish. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 28, 2020
1. Clean ingredients For skincare basics, I prioritize ingredients, and this essence doesn't contain any of the 20 concerning ingredients. So, I was satisfied with its composition. 2. Hydration As I have oily skin, I prefer light hydration, and this product, being an essence rather than a cream, definitely provides that lighter moisture. It might not be enough for those with dry skin, but for me, the hydration level felt just right. 3. Packaging I loved the rice grain-inspired design and its handy size that fits perfectly in one hand. Compared to typical tube products, the sturdy container means I can toss it in my bag without worrying about leaks. 1. Texture In a nutshell, this product can be described as 'liquid glue in essence form'. Those who've tried it will immediately nod in agreement. It feels okay during application, but right after, it's sticky like wet glue. You need to really work it into the skin, and then it becomes somewhat bearable. 2. Makeup compatibility When I applied sunscreen over this essence, it pilled as if I'd used a peeling gel, causing everything to ball up and flake off. I wouldn't dare apply foundation over it. It's a total miss for makeup, so avoid using it before going out. I only use it for night care or when I'm staying at home. 3. Price 50ml for $26... While it's not outrageously expensive, it feels a bit pricey. Considering there are many affordable skincare products with clean ingredients these days, the price point left me feeling a bit disappointed. To minimize stickiness, spread it on your face as quickly as possible.
