A little goes a long way with great color payoff and staining power, making it last longer. These photos are without foundation, just the lip tint on my cool-toned skin. I've applied it both lightly and heavily for comparison. A light application followed by lip balm seems to work well. Since even a small amount is noticeable, using the included brush can result in an uneven, patchy application. Recommend using a separate lip brush for best results.

Unfortunately, it emphasizes dead skin cells way too much. Even though I don't typically have a lot of flakiness, this product makes it very noticeable. As the name suggests, this is a great introductory red color! It applies smoothly and has a matte finish while still feeling moisturizing. The shade isn't too bold, making it perfect for everyday wear. It would likely suit warm skin tones nicely. The longevity is a bit disappointing. The gradient is beautiful, and the full lip effect is gorgeous too! It looks natural even on bare lips. However, while there's no issue on the day of application, I notice more dead skin cells flaking off a few days later. Controlling the amount is absolutely crucial, I'm not kidding. If you just swipe it on carelessly, you'll be in trouble. Not that anyone would do that... but still. Dab it lightly on the inner part of your lips and blend outwards, or use a brush to soften the edges. Otherwise, all anyone will see is your lips. How do I know? Trust me, I wish I didn't have to find out the hard way.
