  To be honest, I don't really notice much difference in using shaving creams like Gillette, Nivea, gels, or foams. They all work well for me without any major discomfort. The new 'Skin Protect' product is similar to the existing ones. Foam has a richer, bouncier lather compared to gel, which has a smoother feel. My father prefers gel over foam.
