It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and smooth.
ConsI'm a bit uneasy about using it since I've heard the ingredients are petroleum-based.
TipHere's a DIY mask recipe I've been using consistently: Mix 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon of flour, a tiny bit of Vaseline, and 1 teaspoon of honey. Blend well and apply as a face mask. It's said to deeply hydrate and give you a youthful complexion. I've been doing this regularly and loving the results!

I prefer Bison's smooth and silky texture that I've been familiar with since childhood. As someone with extremely dry skin, most basic skincare products make my skin feel tight within a few hours, but thanks to the petroleum, this has been a lifesaver! Not only is it a great moisturizer, but it also works wonders as an eye cream and lip balm substitute. It even helps soothe minor cuts and scrapes. I usually feel like my skin is about to crack when I apply foundation alone, but if I spread a very thin layer of this before makeup, my skin feels much more comfortable. The best part is that thanks to the petroleum, I don't need to spend money on expensive creams anymore!
ConsThis might feel too heavy for those who don't have dry skin. I highly recommend it for people with extremely dry skin who aren't allergic to petroleum.
TipDid you know that petroleum jelly was discovered when miners noticed how quickly their wounds healed after applying it? I've found it works great on minor bruises too. Once, I even burned my hand with a mild acid in the lab, and this product helped it heal almost instantly!

Smooth application Thanks to the petrolatum ingredient, it glides on the skin effortlessly. There's a slight slippery feeling after use, but it's almost fragrance-free. Effectiveness Highly recommended for sensitive skin. A YouTuber with an esthetician background, Shin Ah-young, advised that if your skin stings even with gentle products, you should stop using all other skincare and only apply Vaseline to repair your skin barrier. I couldn't use even mild madecassoside products without stinging, and I didn't realize my sensitive skin was related to my redness issues. If you're experiencing severe stinging like me, use this until your skin calms down. For those with sensitive and oily skin worried about clogged pores, applying a thin layer in small amounts won't cause acne and works well.
ConsIf I had to pick something, the safety of Vaseline has become a topic of discussion since it's derived from petrochemicals, despite its low price. While most doctors say it's fine, people's minds don't change easily, so quite a few still think Vaseline might be harmful.
Tip1. Apply a soothing gel before Vaseline for extra hydration and calming effects. Vaseline itself doesn't hydrate or soothe the skin. Create a barrier with Vaseline before the soothing gel evaporates completely. 2. For sensitive skin, skip toners and go straight to soothing gel and Vaseline. Most toners exfoliate rather than hydrate, which can be like rubbing salt in a wound for sensitive skin. Toners might sting anyway. 3. After applying at night, a water rinse in the morning is enough to remove any remaining Vaseline. Use a gentle foam cleanser only at night, as it can irritate sensitive skin. Stick to water cleansing in the morning. 4. If you've applied too much, gently blot with oil blotting paper.
