I'm prone to pustules and whiteheads on my forehead and chin, and I easily get acne depending on what I eat. Key benefits: ☝ Doesn't cause blemishes ☝ Generous amount for an essence ☝ More extracts than water or glycerin ☝ Job's tears extract is the first ingredient ☝ Great for soothing as it reduces redness ☝ You can really feel the nourishing ingredients working I've been under a lot of skin stress lately, but after changing my cleanser and using this, my skin has improved so much! People around me have noticed that I'm not getting breakouts and my complexion looks brighter. Even I can tell the difference, and I'm usually not very observant! Recently, I had acne on my chin, temples, and forehead, plus redness and sensitivity on my cheeks - probably due to stress. Redness usually indicates poor skin condition, but now it's gone, and most of the pustules have cleared up too. I was really worried, but now I can breathe a sigh of relief! I usually avoid essences because they often cause pustular acne, but this one made me understand why people use them. At first, I only applied it to my cheeks, fearing breakouts, but it worked so well in reducing redness that I started using it on my T-zone too. Now I skip other emulsions and just use this on my T-zone. After application, it leaves my skin comfortably hydrated without feeling heavy. It's packed with so many extracts that you can really feel it nourishing your skin - I never forget to apply it! I usually give up on products if I don't see results, but I'm diligent with this one for my skin's sake. It's especially great for my dry cheeks, giving them that much-needed nourishment. I'm planning to buy one for my mom too. The bottle is so generous, I think it'll last two months. I'll definitely repurchase when it runs out!
ConsThe scent is slightly reminiscent of Ssanghwa-tang (a traditional Korean herbal tea). But considering the amount of extracts, it's understandable. Please don't remove other extracts just because of the scent!

Despite being a viscous product, it's not heavy and provides excellent moisture. It's perfect for those with dry skin and could even work for combination skin types. I didn't experience any skin irritation either.
ConsThe fragrance is really disappointing. I usually don't mind traditional herbal skincare products, but this smells like the Ssanghwa-tang sold in pharmacies. The scent is overpowering when applied and lingers strongly afterwards, which makes me reluctant to use it often. The fragrance is a big turn-off for me personally. It's so long-lasting that I can't even use it on my body. I wish the scent was more subtle.
TipOnly recommended for those who enjoy the smell of Ssanghwa-tang (a traditional Korean herbal tea).
