With autumn approaching, I felt drawn to a mauve color, so I bought this one. My skin tone is between warm and cool. On my eyelids, Soba and Soft Brown tend to look orangey, especially Soft Brown which appears quite reddish-orange. This new shade, while it had some powder residue on the surface when I received it, doesn't have excess fallout during application and performs like a typical MAC shadow.
ConsRecommendedUnfortunately, on my eyes, the color doesn't come across as mauve at all. It looks more like a brown shade, though I think it might just be how it appears on my particular skin tone. I was expecting a reddish-brown color, so I'm a bit disappointed it didn't turn out that way. It also seems to crease a bit in my double eyelid line. I'd definitely recommend testing this in-store before purchasing.
