I love MAC eyeshadows and already owned individual shades like Soba, Soft Brown, and Honey Lust. With autumn approaching, I felt drawn to a mauve color, so I bought this one. My skin tone is between warm and cool. On my eyelids, Soba and Soft Brown tend to look orangey, especially Soft Brown which appears quite reddish-orange. This new shade, while it had some powder residue on the surface when I received it, doesn't have excess fallout during application and performs like a typical MAC shadow. Unfortunately, on my eyes, the color doesn't come across as mauve at all. It looks more like a brown shade, though I think it might just be how it appears on my particular skin tone. I was expecting a reddish-brown color, so I'm a bit disappointed it didn't turn out that way. It also seems to crease a bit in my double eyelid line. I'd definitely recommend testing this in-store before purchasing.

The color is absolutely gorgeous, and the pigmentation is fantastic. It's perfect for the under-eye area too. With its beautiful dried rose hue, I highly recommend this for those who find pink eyeshadows a bit intimidating. This delicate eyeshadow is perfect for creating subtle depth. Just one swipe gives you a beautifully natural look. The eyeshadow surface can harden due to oil buildup, but you can easily fix it by gently scraping off the top layer. - hy******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 30, 2022
A MAC expert recommended this product to me! I've tried MAC's famous shading products like Soft Brown and Tete-a-Tete, but they looked too red on my eyes, making them appear puffy. So I shared my struggle with the MAC expert, and this is what she suggested. I'm a cool-toned 21 shade with yellow undertones, and I love natural makeup! My eyes are round, so I need to widen them horizontally and create a sultry look. I've always searched for shading products, but latte-like colors don't suit me well. I used to only use rose tones in palettes (even in MAC's 9-pan palette, I hit pan on just the center rose shade). This product is a huge success, and I absolutely love it! Thank you, MAC expert! There's nothing bad to say... I'm completely satisfied with this. I can finish my entire eye makeup with just this product. I just layer it a bit more on my double eyelid line. For those with dark and dull eye areas, applying a color-correcting product before eyeshadow makes the colors pop much more! The MAC expert recommended this to me, and it was a game-changer.

The pigmentation is fantastic, and there's no excess powder fallout. You're something special! The downside is that while I love this milky reddish-brown shade, it has a slight grayish tint. And of course, the price is a bit steep. It has a lovely ashy tone with a hint of pink! While the photo might show a more brownish hue, imagine it as a soft ash-pink instead. The product applies smoothly and evenly on the skin. There's some excess powder when applying, and it's darker than it appears. If you're not careful with the application, it can make you look bruised. Be cautious if you plan to use this as a base!

Instead, step outside to an area without yellow store lighting to check the true color payoff before buying
