I really like the velvety matte formula, and I bought it because it has gold mixed in. It applies very smoothly and the color is a cool-toned red with the gold mixed in. The velvety formula doesn't crease or settle into fine lines, and it applies evenly even with a thin layer. They say it has gold mixed in, but compared to the Holiday Edition Lip Magnet in Milano Red, it has less of a pearlescent finish, so it's a good daily wear color. (The Lip Magnet in Milano Red is a bit too foil-like...) It's a red with a slight blueish undertone, mixed with a golden shimmer, creating a unique shade. I think it would look beautiful on fair, cool-toned complexions.
Cons
It wears off way too easily. The longevity is just terrible. The velvety, creamy application feels nice on the lips, but it disappears quickly when drinking from a cup. And it really clings to my teeth... With other lip tints I've used, this hasn't been an issue, but with the Lip Maestro, it always ends up on my teeth, no matter how thinly I apply it, so I'm always self-conscious about it.
