Ingredients Except for the fragrance, the ingredients are very safe. It's especially noteworthy that this tinted lip balm uses natural extracts for color. So even if you're sensitive to all types of colorants, whether synthetic or natural, you might want to give this a try. I have super sensitive skin, but I didn't experience any blemishes. 2. Moisturizing effect Perhaps because it's mostly oil-based, it's very moisturizing and the hydration lasts long. I have chronic rhinitis, so my lips are always dry, but even when I applied it before bed, my lips didn't dry out overnight. 3. Oval shape The size is just right, and I found it easier to apply to the lips compared to the usual round shape.
ConsUnfortunately, there's one major drawback for me... 1. Scent This seems to be a love-it-or-hate-it situation, and for me, it was definitely the latter. So much so that I ended up not using it at all. It has this artificial, cheap cherry scent that reminds me of low-quality candy. Despite its many advantages, this flaw was a deal-breaker for me. I bought it online, so honestly, it felt like a gamble that didn't pay off. If possible, I strongly recommend smelling it before purchasing.
Tip* Natural color payoff Since it doesn't contain colorants, you need to apply several layers for the color to show up, and it doesn't have much staying power or staining effect. However, considering it only uses natural extracts for color, I think it's not bad. It's a matter of personal preference - some might find it gives a nice, natural flush to the lips, while others might feel it lacks color and only provides moisture. I'm not sure whether to list this as a pro or a con... If you're buying this because of the word 'tint' in the name, please be aware that this product doesn't have much color payoff, and you might want to look for a different product.

This one is so moisturizing and nice. It has a sweet scent, doesn't feel sticky, and applies smoothly. I did some research and found out it's a vegan lip balm that wasn't tested on animals, which makes me feel even better about using it!
ConsWell... the price is a bit wicked. I bought it at full price because I was in a hurry, but I think you might be able to get it a bit cheaper during Olive Young's sale periods. The lip balm sticks out quite a bit, so you have to be careful when closing it to avoid getting it on the cap. Also, the scent fades quickly, which is a bit disappointing.
TipThe more you apply, the better it works! It's obvious, but worth mentioning.

Given the many reviews about it melting on hot days, it feels more like a moisturizing lip balm, which I love. As for the cherry one, expect minimal color payoff. It just adds a slight natural flush to your lips.
ConsThe scent is disappointing! I bought four different lip balms, and they all have this common underlying smell, which I'm not fond of. It's not just a fresh cherry scent; there's also a slightly unpleasant odor mixed in. Unfortunately, this applies to the other scented lip balms in the line as well.

I bought it to wear with a bare face. When first applied, it feels moisturizing like a lip balm...
ConsThe moisturizing effect disappears quickly. After using this, my lips became wrinkled and dry. It caused a lot of fine lines and dryness, even though I originally had lips without much dead skin. I felt my lip condition getting worse, so I stopped using it. It felt like my lip inflammation was recurring... The same happened with Isoi tint lip balm. Strangely, when I use natural tint lip balms, my lips get dry, wrinkled, and lined instead. I even develop lip inflammation with blister-like symptoms. I suspected beeswax or carmine, but this product doesn't contain either... I'm genuinely curious why my lips react this way...

The ingredients are great, and most importantly, it's from a vegan brand, which is why I decided to try it. I usually use Dr. Bronner's Baby Mild Organic Lip Balm, but I wanted to try something different. I love cherry scents, so the fragrance didn't bother me at all - in fact, it was the main reason I chose this product. It provided quite a bit of hydration and didn't cause much dead skin buildup. Being a tinted lip balm, it's not completely colorless, but has a light reddish tint. The color fades over time, probably due to the moisturizing effect of the balm. While I prefer tinted lip balms, if you're not a fan of intense colors, you'll likely enjoy this one.
ConsThe product has been reformulated, and it seems some ingredients have changed. Strangely, sweet almond oil is listed in the Hwahae ingredient list, but it's not on the lip balm's actual ingredient list. I'm not sure if it's no longer included or if the company made a mistake in listing the ingredients. This discrepancy was the most confusing and frustrating aspect. I thought this lip balm would be fine for my lips, but it turned out to be too much. After applying, I waited to see how it would feel, but my lips became itchy and swollen. It looks like I've added another lip product to the list of those I can only wear during the day and must thoroughly remove before bed.

My lips and face are experiencing a bumper crop of flakiness lately. I was looking to buy a lip balm and came across this brand for the first time. I decided to give it a try, and it's incredibly hydrating! The scent is lovely too!
ConsThere wasn't anything particularly bad, but I did experience a bit of pilling.
TipSince this product has a slight tint, applying it before a matte lip product and then gently blotting helps prevent flaky lips!

It reminds me of cherry candy. Although the fragrance doesn't linger for too long, the moisturizing effect is fantastic. My lips are incredibly sensitive, and even slight incompatibility with lip balms can cause itching and swelling along my lip line. That's why I always scrutinize the ingredients before use. I think this one will be a safe and pleasant option for daily use.
ConsDue to my extremely dry lips, I find myself reapplying almost every hour or two. It seems to absorb well, but the balm itself is slightly squishy, so I have a feeling I'll go through it rather quickly.
TipWhile someone suggested using it as a lip base, I don't think that's the best idea. It's an incredibly hydrating formula, which means your lip color would likely fade quickly if applied over this. Instead, I'd recommend applying your tint or lipstick first, then layering this balm on top. Also, the color payoff isn't as intense as you might expect. It's perfect if you're just looking for a subtle hint of color to liven up your lips.

It feels more like a hydrating stick than an oily product, with a light, water-rich texture. Perhaps because of this, it's excellent at removing dead skin cells.
ConsWhen removing the sticker on the side, first cut along the edge with a knife. Otherwise, you might accidentally peel off the outer transparent layer as well.
TipI'd recommend this more for spring, summer, and fall rather than winter.

I think this is truly the best lip balm out there... I've been using it for 3 years now
ConsThe downside is that now that the official distributor has entered the Korean market, we can't buy it in bulk from iHerb anymore...

I bought it on sale from iHerb and it's great - moisturizing with a nice tint that adds some life to your lips. I think I got it for around $5. It has a pleasant cherry scent and provides decent hydration. Plus, it's from a cruelty-free brand, which is wonderful!
ConsThere wasn't anything particularly disappointing about it... except maybe that it's an international shipping product?
TipNothing special. You just apply it, that's all.
