Ingredients -Trustworthy Pyunkang Yul. It's even for babies, so it's super gentle. Perfect for sensitive skin. ! Hydration -This is my first time using an oil, so I can't compare, but the moisturizing effect is incomparable to creams. Highly recommended for dry skin types. ! Scent -Like most Pyunkang Yul products, it's almost fragrance-free. Absolutely love it.
Cons! Absorption -Honestly, the oil's absorption rate is terrible. You can't put clothes on after applying it to your body. ! Dryness -Surprisingly, it can be drying. The oil doesn't address deep dryness. ! Volume -Being a baby product, the volume is small. I thought, 'When will I finish this?' but emptied one bottle quickly. Now the remaining bottle is the issue...
TipIf you wipe your body with a pad before applying, it's less likely to sit on the surface and absorbs faster.

It absorbs well too. This should work great for normal skin types.
ConsAs someone with extremely dry skin, I find it lacks hydration. My skin feels so dry, it's like I might get shocked by static electricity!

This product, however, is fantastic! When applied to damp skin after showering, it absorbs quickly without any sticky feeling. Since I started using it, I haven't experienced any dead skin cells flaking off!
ConsThere's just one downside - being an oil, it can't address deep dryness on its own. You can't rely on this product alone for hydration; it's essential to use it alongside a moisturizer.
TipIf you're someone who dislikes applying thick layers of product to your body, try applying this to damp skin right after your shower!

All three of us have dry skin, and my 7-year-old has particularly sensitive skin that once reacted badly to a moisturizing cream from another brand. -Advantages- 1. Personally, I appreciated the unscented formula, which made it easy to use without any aversion. 2. The gentle ingredients seemed to agree with my youngest's sensitive skin, causing no blemishes, which was very satisfying. 3. While we all used it in various ways, I especially enjoyed applying a small amount to my feet before bed, massaging it in, and wearing sleep socks. I woke up to incredibly soft feet, so I made it a nightly routine. **Overall, it's a product that can be used without causing irritation or blemishes. The lack of artificial fragrances or distinctive oil scents makes it very approachable and easy to use.**
ConsAt first, I used the oil alone after showering, but I couldn't feel any moisturizing effect and actually felt dry. Unlike other oils, it felt a bit heavy, but a small amount wasn't enough to spread over a large area. When I used more, it took longer to absorb and felt like it was sitting on top of the skin. Even after rubbing it in thoroughly, there was still a slight stickiness when putting on clothes, which was disappointing, though it did improve over time. The most significant drawback was the packaging. While the pump is convenient, oil tends to accumulate around the rim as you use it. The biggest issue is controlling the amount dispensed - you can't just press it once for the right amount. If you press gently, it keeps coming out, flowing like a pump. I think it would be better if the nozzle was bent forward a bit more.
TipEveryone has different preferences and skin types, but I found that using the oil alone left my skin feeling dry. Combining the oil with an emulsion seemed to slow down the absorption of both. What worked best for me was applying an emulsion after showering, then sealing in the moisture with the oil. This approach significantly reduced how often I felt the need to moisturize. For my child with very dry skin, this method seemed to balance the oil and moisture well, leaving their skin comfortable and noticeably softer.

I'm raising two boys, ages 3 and 5. Both mom and kids have extremely dry skin with mild atopic dermatitis and allergies. Mom needs oils year-round, while the kids use them in all seasons except summer. Here's my review after using the product for ten days. The advantages I noticed while using it: > Ingredients Surprisingly, many body oils have poor ingredients. Despite being a product category that should have simple formulations, many contain various ingredients and quite a few harmful substances. However, I was very satisfied that this Pyunkang Yul product contains no harmful ingredients at all. While there are products with even simpler ingredient lists, they tend to be single-ingredient formulas or contain mineral oil. I think this level of simplicity is excellent. Naturally, I'm more particular about the ingredients in products I apply to my children's bodies compared to my own, and I found this product to be flawless in terms of ingredients. > Fragrance-free Personally, I prefer products without added fragrances. This is true for the products I use, but even more so for products my children use. Our whole family has sensitive noses, it's a family trait. We're not just good at smelling things - even slightly strong scents can make our noses sting and hurt (which then leads to headaches). So we try to use products with no fragrance, or if they do have a scent, only those with natural, green, or woody fragrances. But this product has no scent at all? The fact that it doesn't use fragrances was the best thing about using this product. Even though it contains orange and bergamot oils, you can't smell them. It doesn't seem like they've added any other chemicals to eliminate the scent... I guess they just used very small amounts of the scented ingredients? Anyway, the fact that there's no fragrance and it doesn't irritate our noses is great! > Quick absorption Looking at other reviewers' opinions, some mentioned slow absorption or the product sitting on top of the skin.. I guess this really depends on the individual. Maybe it's because my skin is so dry it would shock doctors, but I've never found it slow to absorb or sit on top of the skin.😅 It absorbs quickly without leaving any stickiness. This might also be because both my children and I have slightly higher than average body temperatures. For those who find it slow to absorb, it might help to rub your hands together to warm them up before applying. And the packaging is really pretty. Simple and luxurious looking🤭🤭
ConsThere were two downsides: > Weak moisturizing power I applied for this because it was advertised as a highly moisturizing oil... But it's not moisturizing enough to use on its own. For those who aren't very dry, this alone might be sufficient, but for skin that's beyond the usual level of dryness, I think the moisturizing power is far from enough. After using just this product for a day, we (both mom and kids) felt too dry, so from the next day, we used it along with our usual body creams (mom uses Bioderma Atoderm PP Baume, kids use QV cream). Even for normal dry skin, I think it might be a bit difficult to solve all moisture problems with this alone in winter. > The price is disappointing Looking at the ingredients, the price is somewhat understandable, but I still don't think it offers good value for money. The volume is on the small side (190ml), but each pump dispenses quite a lot of product. Because the texture is like water, you end up spilling quite a bit while applying, so I thought it might have been better if the pump strength was reduced or if it came in a container you could pour from. (The pump is both an advantage and a disadvantage.😅) For someone like me who uses oils at home frequently, I thought this probably wouldn't be at the top of the shopping list in terms of cost-effectiveness. (Actually, for two days both mom and kids used it, then only the kids used it, and we saw the bottom of the bottle in just ten days.😅😅😅)
TipAfter showering, apply the oil while skin is still damp, rinse lightly with water, then pat dry with a towel. Afterwards, mix a small amount of oil into your body cream before applying for best results!
