I received this as a magazine freebie, so I didn't have high expectations. I was just curious to try it out. It absorbs well, feels hydrating, and applies smoothly. Considering I got it with a magazine, it's quite affordable too. When I kept a straight face, it looked perfect. I thought, 'This is it! My holy grail cushion, the best value for money. I'll only use this from now on.' However, when I smile or frown, it settles into expression lines so severely that it looks like my wrinkles are painted on. I think I should only use this for taking selfies at home and not venture outside with it on! - jh******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 15, 2020
Shade 22 for Combination Skin - Packaging It comes in a matte, ivory-colored square container. At first, it looked a bit toy-like, but the more I looked at it, the more I appreciated the brand's unique style. The square shape means a larger size, which translates to a generously sized mirror - perfect for applying makeup. - Puff The puff is teardrop-shaped and has a nice bouncy texture. Sometimes cushion compacts come with disappointing puffs, but this one is really impressive. I heard they put extra effort into the puff design, and it shows. - Color The shade is a classic ivory, similar to a standard 21. It's great for those who want a brighter complexion than their natural skin tone. - Finish This cushion sits right between dewy and matte. It's comfortably moisturizing while still having a nice finish, making it easy to use for everyday wear. - Coverage Overall, the coverage is on the lighter side. Layering helps a bit, but I still needed concealer. It's ideal for those with good skin who prefer a light, comfortable application. - Adherence Cushions often struggle with staying power, don't they? While this one isn't exceptional in that regard, it does perform better than most dewy cushions. Considering the price point, I'm not sure it's worth the splurge. These days, there are so many excellent cushions available in various formulations that this rather average one might struggle to stand out in the competitive market. - ci******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityFeb 15, 2020
The simple square design in ivory color felt fresh! It's about the same size as an eyeshadow palette, which made it unique. Also, I used the water drop-shaped ruby cell puff for the first time, and I like that it doesn't absorb too much of the cushion product. The pointed part was great for carefully applying around the eye area. As the name 'Essence Cushion' suggests, it wasn't overly hydrating, but it wasn't matte either - just the right balance. The most important thing... the ingredients. While I don't expect much from cushion ingredients, cyclopentasiloxane is third on the list, which can easily clog pores. Not recommended for oily, combination, or combination dehydrated skin that doesn't do well with silicone oils. Even though I have dry skin, products with high amounts of silicone oil immediately cause blemishes. The A* BB cream had good absorption, but cyclopentasiloxane, the worst of silicone oils, was second on the list, so I had to toss it. I was worried about this cushion too since silicone oil is third on the list. After patting it several times around my eyes, I got small bumps, and while my cheeks didn't immediately react, my skin texture worsened. A few days later, small bumps appeared there too. You can use it more hydratingly by dropping some ampoule onto the cushion before applying. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedFeb 6, 2020
The hydration is amazing! It's more moisturizing than I expected. The color isn't too white or yellow, but slightly darker than ivory - it matches my skin tone perfectly. As someone always on the hunt for the perfect cushion foundation, I'm thinking this might be the one to settle down with! The coverage is absolutely non-existent. While I loved how it matched my skin tone, it doesn't cover anything at all. Under-eye circles? Completely visible. I applied it to other areas too, but you can't tell I'm wearing anything. Everything else is great, but the lack of coverage means it won't become my go-to product, unfortunately. Luckily, I received this as a free gift from a magazine, so I don't feel like I wasted money. If I had bought it myself, I might have felt it wasn't worth the price. That said, it's not a bad product at all. It's perfect for those in their 20s with clear skin and no blemishes! Come to think of it, it didn't cause any irritation and felt comfortable on my skin!
