It's not deeply hydrating, but it gets heavier over time and has a thick feel. Like many brightening moisturizers, it tends to pill. It also accentuates dead skin cells. If you don't prep your skin well, it immediately emphasizes flakiness and doesn't sit right. Even with proper exfoliation and skincare, it applies fine at first but starts to pill in patches after a short while.
