- Recommended skin type: Dry or for combating winter dryness (not recommended for oily skin or those who dislike heavy products on their face) - Texture: When we think of a moisturizer, we often imagine a light, fluid consistency. However, this one has a thick, balm-like texture - somewhere between a cream and a balm. - Application: Given its dense, balm-like consistency, it's not the easiest to spread. The absorbs isn't particularly smooth. - Absorption: Rather than quickly absorbing to provide instant hydration, it feels more like it creates a protective layer on the skin for moisture retention. However, it didn't feel excessively greasy when applying makeup over it. - Scent: It has a fresh, zesty fragrance. Personally, it reminded me of Effaclar*. To put it positively, it has an orange-vitamin kind of scent? The scent might be hit or miss for some people. Despite feeling quite heavy on the face, its moisturizing power didn't feel particularly exceptional. Instead of applying it directly to your face, it's easier to use if you warm it up a bit first. Try putting some on the back of your hand and gently roll it around to let your body heat soften the product before application. - se**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 22, 2022
It was surprisingly thick, which I think helped create a protective barrier against the wind. That aspect was actually quite nice... If only I had known it would make my blemishes worse. I stopped using it after a week. For someone with internal heat like me, the warming sensation was no joke. I applied it to my chin where I had blemishes, and I'm not sure if it was because of this product, but from the moment I started using it, my blemishes didn't calm down at all. Instead, it seemed to irritate my skin even more. It felt heavy and sticky on my skin. I regret not researching more before buying it... I think using the toner from the same set along with this cream made the irritation even worse. Lesson learned: Always do thorough research before buying skincare products. - mf********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 14, 2021
I really liked it because it had that perfect buttery texture I love! I have sensitive, combination dehydrated skin. After applying a lot of toner and then this cream before bed, my skin felt extremely tight and its condition worsened significantly. - df********Dry SkinRecommendedJun 14, 2021
It gives your skin a smooth, radiant appearance like polished marble. The hydration is legendary - almost too much! After sleeping with it on and washing your face in the morning, your skin looks absolutely amazing. Hooray! It's way too greasy... Instead of providing hydration, it feels like it's just coating your skin with oil. If you apply it in the morning, you might break out. For oily areas like the nose, apply it to your cheeks first, then use the remaining product on your hands for the nose. Otherwise, you'll end up with a mess of sebum and blackheads the next day. You really need to control the amount you use. It's better to apply a little than too much with this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 26, 2021
I bought this because my face was extremely dry. It has a balm-like texture, very rich and elastic. It's great for deep hydration. Apply one layer, then a second for intense moisture. Best used as a night treatment. It's decent, aside from the pilling issue. It helps with dryness. However, I probably won't repurchase. I apply it to both face and body. My body is also dry, so it feels wonderfully moisturizing when I use it there too. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedFeb 7, 2021
As someone with dry skin, I was pleasantly surprised that this product didn't leave me feeling parched, thanks to its rich consistency. The texture was like a luscious butter, and the fragrance was delightful too. Unfortunately, this product lacked sufficient hydration for my needs. Despite having dry skin and struggling with deep dryness, this cream seemed to exacerbate my skin's dehydration rather than addressing it. Moreover, its rich consistency led to blemishes on my skin. - su********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 1, 2020
I didn't expect much, but it turned out better than I thought. It's a bit thinner than an ointment, with a subtle scent, and as someone with dry skin, I found it to be a moisturizer that keeps my skin hydrated for a long time. The probiotic nourishing formula seems especially beneficial for those with dry skin. Despite its rich texture, it spreads easily and absorbs well. There's no residue left on the surface. As someone with sensitive skin, I appreciated that it didn't cause any irritation and was gentle on my skin. The only downside is that it comes in a jar, which feels a bit unhygienic. I wish it came in a tube format. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 3, 2020
Hehe, it's so moisturizing that I often apply it around my eyes. I also use it on my forehead, which helps prevent dead skin cells from appearing when I put on makeup. The volume is half that of the mugwort one... such a bummer... - 9z***Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessMay 23, 2020
First off, I have oily, acne-prone skin that's also quite sensitive. As for the positives: The scent: It has a fruity aroma, reminiscent of lime - refreshing and cool, but not overpowering. I appreciated its subtle fragrance. The texture: When applied to the back of my hand, it seemed to absorb well, gliding smoothly into the skin. While not particularly heavy, it wasn't exactly lightweight either. I expected it to be a bit lighter for a moisturizer! Anyway, it has a typical cream consistency. Unfortunately, this cream is far too greasy for oily skin types. Despite appearing to absorb well on my hand, it felt like it just sat on top of my facial skin. It barely absorbed, leaving my face feeling slick and greasy - definitely not a pleasant experience. It's not great for dry skin either, as while it's quite oily, I couldn't detect any hydration. The lack of a spatula was disappointing. As mentioned, due to its oiliness, I woke up with new blemishes after just one night of use. The ingredients aren't particularly impressive, and the greasiness made me feel like my pores were getting clogged. - im********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 24, 2020
I really liked how it locked in hydration, true to its name as a moisturizer. The scent wasn't overpowering, making it comfortable to use. If I had to point out a downside, it felt a bit too rich for my liking. Also, when applied to the face, it had a somewhat heavy, tacky texture that I wasn't fond of.
