Scent: Strong, refreshing mint fragrance lingers Lather: Produces an abundance of foam ✔Improved hair loss After using supermarket shampoos, I tried a few highly-rated ones from Hwahae due to their ingredients. Those made me lose 40-50 strands per wash, which was stressful and felt like a waste of money. With this shampoo, hair fall reduced dramatically to less than 10 strands per wash. ✔Cleaner scalp Unlike previous 'good ingredient' shampoos, this one actually made my scalp feel clean! It's been ages since I've seen such a clean, white scalp. Spotless scalp indeed.. ✔Prevents small flakes ✔Decent value for money It's not available on the Aekyung website, but you can find it on Cou*** bundled with a treatment, both 1000ml, for 22,400 won. Great value considering the large volume and reasonable price.
Cons✔Scalp blemishes Occasionally, I'd get 1-2 small pimples on my scalp ✔Scalp dryness!! This shampoo seems to strip away too much oil. I noticed flakes typical of a dry scalp. Even when washing every 2-3 days, I'd sometimes get dry flakes or dead skin cells.

Plus, it's a silicone-free shampoo!
ConsAt first, the texture was nice and the scent was pleasant, but the more I used it, hard, painful blemishes started appearing on my scalp. One day they'd show up along my hairline, the next day on the crown of my head. I thought I'd found a decent shampoo and was happy about it, but now I can't use it anymore.

I'm not sure if I can really call it moisturizing...
ConsI ordered this shampoo online based on a recommendation from a blog that analyzes cosmetic ingredients, switching from my regular shampoo. Oh my goodness, my skin had a terrible reaction! When I went to the dermatologist, they said the acne and rash along my hairline were likely due to an incompatibility with the hair product. It's clear! I have sensitive skin with a delicate barrier, but this is the first time I've had such a bad reaction from using the wrong shampoo. Why does it cause an even worse reaction than regular shampoo?! Can this really be called a natural shampoo?! If you have sensitive skin like mine, please avoid using this. I was in disbelief, but after reading another review mentioning the ingredients, I think that particular ingredient might be the culprit.

My scalp is dry, but my hair tends to get oily. Because of this, when I use a strong cleansing shampoo to remove excess oil, I get blemishes on my scalp. On the other hand, when I use a shampoo for very dry scalps to calm it down, my hair quickly becomes greasy. ✏ A shampoo with good ingredients and strong cleansing power I quickly bought this after finding it online at an incredibly low price. While it has good ingredients, it's a shampoo that lathers extremely well and has strong cleansing effectiveness. It's suitable for people with a neutral scalp but oily hair, or those looking for a shampoo with good ingredients and excellent cleansing power.
Cons✏ Blemishes reappeared due to excessive cleansing power I bought this shampoo for neutral scalps because while the Witch's Pouch Hug Moisture Shampoo was good for my scalp, its cleansing power was a bit lacking. However, due to its strong cleansing effectiveness, blemishes started appearing on my scalp again. Thinking it might be due to stress or hormonal cycles, I continued using it for over a month. But it didn't help. Recently, I've been using the Yuri Pibu Cleansing Oil, but it's not strong enough to remove Peripera's Ink Lasting Mascara. So, while washing my hair, I gently rubbed some leftover lather around my eyes, and the skin around them instantly felt tight. That's when I realized, 'Ah, this shampoo is incredibly drying for me' (of course, facial skin and scalp don't always match in characteristics). So I stopped using it. Currently, I'm using Witch's Pouch Hug Green Shampoo, and the blemishes have significantly reduced.
TipFor those who find it suitable, it works well as a body wash or an all-in-one product. As always, patch testing on different areas before use is essential.

ConsIt was fine at first, but as I continued using it, my scalp became really itchy and I developed dandruff... so disappointing.

It helped reduce blemishes and made my hair less oily. I love the scent - it's like fresh grass. The ingredients are gentle (silicone-free). It doesn't contain sodium lauryl sulfate or other sulfates that can trigger menstrual cramps, so I experienced less discomfort.
ConsOccasionally, it might cause blemishes. Sometimes it feels like it doesn't cleanse thoroughly. Because it doesn't make hair stiff, it can feel a bit heavy at times. The scent is subjective - some people might not like the grassy smell.

Rich lather It produces a more abundant lather than body wash, allowing you to wash your entire hair with just a few pumps. The natural-derived ingredients create a dense foam that doesn't dissipate quickly, enabling a longer massage. 2. Unisex fragrance The scent is neither too feminine nor too menthol-like, making it suitable for the whole family to use. However, it might be a bit strong for infants.
Cons1. Excessive oil removal leading to dead skin cells and increased sebum While it strips away oils, it doesn't necessarily cleanse the scalp. I noticed an increase in dead skin cells and acne. Often, when scratching my head, yellow sebum would come off on my hands. The hairline would also turn white and flaky. After calming my scalp with a professional scaling shampoo for two days, using this product again would cause blemishes to reappear. Those with oily or seborrheic scalps might not be satisfied with how it feels. 2. It stings the eyes Thinking it was made with gentle, good ingredients, I tested it on my face and other parts of my skin besides the scalp. Compared to other low pH shampoos, it caused skin dryness and tightness. If it accidentally gets in your eyes while washing your hair, it really stings. So despite its mild fragrance, it's not ideal for children to use. It's less satisfactory than I expected, so I wouldn't recommend it for problematic scalps. It might be more suitable for those who can use any product without issues.
TipThe lather is rich, and the scent isn't overpowering, so I occasionally use it as a body wash when I'm in a hurry.

The feel is similar to a mild acidic gel cleanser. After use, my scalp feels comfortable, but as someone with an oily scalp, I need to shampoo twice for it to work well. Also, after switching from anti-hair loss shampoo to this, I noticed my hair felt less voluminous.
ConsI'm prone to blemishes on my scalp, and after using this, I feel like I'm getting even more...

First off, it lathers up nicely and rinses out well. With my dry scalp and occasional seborrheic dermatitis flare-ups when I'm tired, I used it thinking 'This is great' for the first month. But then...
ConsIt seems to be harsh on the scalp. Once a week, I'd get blemishes and what looked like dandruff, with my scalp peeling and itching. At first, I wasn't sure if it was the shampoo, so I kept using it. My husband experienced the same symptoms. There's a lot of product left, and it feels wasteful to throw it away, so we use it occasionally now, but it's been demoted to cleaning duties. This is definitely not a product I'll buy again.

For me...
ConsIt's slippery and hard to rinse out. Maybe it's because of the ylang-ylang and other fragrances they've used instead of typical ones. My scalp has developed huge pimples, blemishes, and even crusty patches. I've never experienced anything this bad before, so I'm shocked. It's itchy and unbearable. Here I am, writing an angry review in the middle of the night.
