I used 3 instead of 1, and my school has strict rules, so I bought it to have a subtle color payoff, but I only found out about the plumping effect after ordering. The color seems to come out subtly as I wanted, and there doesn't seem to be a plumping effect. However, it does have a warming sensation when applied.

The plumping lip balm makes my lips slightly plump and supple. It also seems to add a nice sheen, which enhances the effect. The color is pretty, but you do need to apply it several times. Reapplying it a few times can lead to a 'yogurt' effect.

The plumping effect wasn't as strong as I had hoped. But it's still better than some other plumping lip balms I've tried, even if I'm not sure what's in it.
