I bought the 2019 Limited Edition made in Germany. It seems to have become more famous compared to Nivea VS La Mer. The case is pretty, and it's rich in oils, making it great for use on both face and body. It's moisturizing on dry areas, and especially on the body, there's no stickiness after application. On the face, it feels a bit rich though. I started using Nivea again because frequent use of hand sanitizer was making my fingerprints disappear. It's affordable, and particularly great for winter - applying it to your palms before bed is excellent for fingerprint regeneration by morning. Apply it as the last step after other skincare products. I only use it in winter, and it has a generous 2-year shelf life. Last year, I bought two tins out of enthusiasm, but I haven't even finished one yet, with an expiration date until December 2021. This year, they've released a new 2021 Ox Year edition (tempted to buy it for the case). Maybe because I use many high-performance products, the Nivea cream feels a bit heavy on my face. I apply it last after other skincare products, and it's fine when I'm only wearing a mask in the biting wind. When I tried the La Mer comparison experiment and applied only Nivea cream to my bare face, it caused a burning sensation. Perhaps it's due to the mineral oil? Since then, I don't apply it to bare skin. Also, the scent lingers for quite a long time. The flat tin case attracts dust once you remove all the foil. As shown in the photo, I've partially opened it and I'm using a spatula to scoop it out like ice cream. For those expecting the same effects as La Mer, try using it with Missha Red Algae Emulsion or apply it along with something containing seaweed extract. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 5, 2020
It's moisturizing and nice. I think it would be great to apply on areas with blemishes. The feeling is not as good as I expected. It's not really my preference. It works well when applied over other emulsions. - po*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 25, 2019
I bought this at Olive Young because the packaging was pretty, but it turned out to be a holy grail product... 1. Hydration Recently, no matter what I applied, my skin felt dry in the morning. But after using this, my skin isn't parched and feels smooth in the morning. No more deep dryness!! It also clings well to dry areas on the body, feeling like it's locking in moisture. 2. Scent Honestly, I don't usually prefer scented skincare products, but this fragrance is just comforting and pleasant! I use it on my body too, and it's subtle. 3. Great value for money 4. Improvement of fine lines Surprisingly, after applying this, the fine lines around my eyes and nasolabial folds have become less noticeable! I wonder if it's because the deep dryness has been resolved? The absorption isn't great. It's a very thick and sticky type of product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 23, 2019
The texture is incredibly rich and moisturizing, leaving a dewy, almost oil-like sheen on the skin. I thought the thick consistency would make it long-lasting, but surprisingly, it didn't stay on as long as I expected.
