My hair has been feeling really dry and brittle lately due to repeated coloring and perming. I've tried various oils, but this one seems to be quite popular! It's a camellia oil that doesn't feel sticky and doesn't make my hair greasy at all! The packaging is also quite elegant - it comes in a beautiful glass bottle that looks quite luxurious. So far, I'm using it with complete satisfaction and haven't found anything to complain about. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMay 7, 2021
My hair type is thick with coarse strands and a slight wave. Texture and Feel: The experience is similar to the Tsubaki camellia oil you'd find in drugstores. It's a lightweight, hydrating oil formula, but without silicones, it feels a bit stiffer and isn't the easiest to apply. It doesn't spread evenly or absorb quickly, and it won't instantly make your hair silky smooth. However, once absorbed, it helps maintain healthy-looking hair by taming frizz. It seems more suitable for home care rather than styling. Scent: A deep fragrance of camellia flowers mixed with oil. The oil scent alone isn't great, but once applied and absorbed, your hair has a subtle camellia aroma. Advantage 1: Less Sticky, Less Residue The lack of silicone means it doesn't leave a sticky or slippery residue on your hands. I used to dislike the lingering stickiness after using hair oils/essences, but this product has less of that issue. Advantage 2: Promotes Healthy Hair With its high content of natural camellia oil and other natural ingredients, after about two weeks of use, I noticed less hair fall (during shampooing, compared to usual), and my hair seemed thicker. I have naturally black, undyed hair, and it appeared darker too. I believe that repeatedly using silicone-based shampoos and hair oils can negatively impact cuticle condition and scalp health, so using this as a daily product could help maintain healthier hair. Avoid applying it to your scalp and bangs area, or it can make your hair look greasy. Also, use small amounts to prevent greasiness. The quantity might seem small, but you need much less than other hair essences, so it's actually not a small amount! After applying to your hair, twist and press your hair to enhance absorption (see photo for reference). - wk*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 29, 2021
Switched from oils to Davines Oi Milk because I couldn't stand the smell anymore! I was looking for a silicone-free product and I'm satisfied so far. The scent isn't overwhelming, and it doesn't contain any irritating ingredients! Just received it today, so no complaints yet! If I had to pick one thing, it's that the amount seems a bit small for the price. After using it, I can say it's definitely lighter than products with silicone. It might be a bit too light for damaged hair, though. When applied to dry hair, it can make it look greasy. Still, I'd recommend it for its non-irritating fragrance and non-sticky texture. - db******Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedMar 26, 2021
I loved how it made my hair feel softer. It's nice that it's not sticky, so you can use it lightly. I'm not sure about the damage care yet - I'll need to use it more to really tell. It's not bad to use as it is, but I think it would be more convenient if it came in a pump bottle! It's best to use this before blow-drying! Also, it works well if you apply a little bit to your hair ends after styling. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedSep 8, 2020
I used this silicone-free oil product due to my severe seborrheic scalp. Here's my review after using two bottles: 1. Great ingredients While dimethicone and other silicones wreak havoc on my scalp, I had been using regular hair oils as there weren't many alternatives. Since using this oil, I've noticed a significant reduction in scalp blemishes compared to other oils. 2. Fragrance I love the scent. The subtle camellia flower aroma is really appealing. 3. Absorption It's a lightweight oil formula, not too rich. However, it doesn't evaporate quickly, so it seems to provide sufficient hydration. Admittedly, it doesn't make the hair quite as soft as silicone-based oils. But for me, the fact that it's silicone-free makes it worth it. If not applied correctly, it can make hair clump together. Despite its light texture, applying too much on damp hair can leave it looking greasy once dry. Apply it lightly when your hair is slightly damp, before it's completely dry. If you apply it to fully dry hair or use too much, it may make your hair look greasy. - mi******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 22, 2020
I used to use a different silicone-free hair oil before, but it was too greasy, so I stopped. I wanted to try hair oil again, but I really dislike silicone ingredients. After some hesitation, I decided to buy this one, and I'm glad I did! Even though it's silicone-free, it's not 100% oil-based, so if you apply the right amount for your hair type and length, it doesn't feel greasy at all. I was using a cream-based silicone-free hair essence, but I felt it lacked a bit in softness and oil-moisture balance. When I mix this oil with it, my hair feels much softer and less dry. I've also tried using it alone, and even with a small amount, it makes my hair surprisingly soft and has a nice feel to it. I also appreciate that it's fragrance-free, so the scent isn't overpowering. Since it's an oil, it comes in a glass bottle, which can be a bit frustrating when trying to dispense the product. It doesn't come out easily when you're trying to get some in your hand. I think it would be more convenient if the top part had a dropper instead, so you could easily dispense the desired amount. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020
It really improves my hair texture. The split ends and dryness from perms and coloring have gotten so much better. It's not oily at all, leaving my hair feeling fresh and light. It's a shame that it's not available in stores nearby. Having to buy it online is a bit inconvenient... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 11, 2020
My hair ends are quite damaged and frizzy, but this product seems to absorb really well. I've heard the ingredients are good too, so I'm using it happily. It's my second bottle, and I think I'll stick with this for a while. Since it's in a glass bottle, I'm a bit worried about it breaking, so I'm using it very carefully. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 21, 2020
•Silicone-FREE Natural-derived hair oil without synthetic silicone ingredients •Hair protection and shine Contains camellia extract & oil for healthy-looking locks •Watery oil type Lightweight styling without heaviness or stickiness I love that it doesn't have the excessive stickiness of my usual oils, so I don't need to wash my hands after applying. The ingredients are trustworthy, and the scent is pleasantly subtle. Even though I have oily skin and want to use less, for some reason I keep finding myself using more and more. The best tip is to apply it evenly from the mid-lengths to the ends of your hair. There's no special trick beyond that. - sj*******Dry SkinRecommendedMar 8, 2020
Hair oils can be tricky - use too much and you look like you haven't washed your hair in days! But with my dry hair, I couldn't skip it either. That's when I discovered the Camellia Repair Hair Oil, and it's been a game-changer! The texture is amazing. Compared to other hair oils I've used (see the second and third photos), this one is incredibly lightweight, almost water-like. It's so easy to apply and doesn't weigh your hair down at all. When I use it on damp hair, it absorbs quickly without any stickiness - I'm absolutely thrilled! The scent is another big win for me. It has a lovely camellia fragrance that lingers in your hair until the next day. It's like having a built-in hair mist! Just keep in mind that if you prefer unscented products, this might not be for you. Don't let its lightweight texture fool you - it's still incredibly moisturizing. I use it after shampooing and conditioning, and it leaves my hair smooth and tame, with no flyaways in sight. It works hard to keep my hair looking great! Honestly, I can't think of any downsides to this product. If you're in the market for a non-sticky hair oil, I highly recommend giving this a try. You won't regret it!
