It's fascinating how scents can be so subjective... The fact that someone might perceive this as a delightfully sweet vanilla cookie fragrance... It really depends on the individual nose. To me, it's incredibly sweet, but... it's like mixing vanilla syrup into rubber clay? The scent is borderline unpleasant. When I'm not feeling well, it gives me a headache. It is very sweet and long-lasting though. As a body emulsion, it's just slightly better than wearing nothing at all?? But to be fair, I wasn't really concerned about hydration when I bought this... I had no idea... Are these ingredients for real? I don't think I can use this with peace of mind anymore... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 26, 2021
I can't remember exactly when, but I bought this product as a fresh graduate, and I think it has improved significantly since then. Back then, it wasn't moisturizing at all, and the scent was overwhelmingly strong - all the fragrances seemed similar and cheap. Recently, there are many body emulsions with great scents in Korea, so I hadn't been buying this. But I purchased it during a 3+3 sale. First, it has the advantage of being a seasonal product - you won't see it for the next three seasons after this winter. I love that the packaging changes every year. Compared to before, the fragrance has become much softer, and it seems they've made an effort to bring out each note. It's become much more hydrating for an emulsion. They said shea butter was included before, but it was hard to believe - this aspect has also greatly improved. The problem is the saliva-like smell... It's not noticeable when you just sniff it, but when applied to the skin, there's a strong, strange odor that's quite similar to saliva. I can't figure out what causes it no matter how much I think about it. The biggest drawback is that you can't sample the scent and have to buy based on the fragrance notes alone, not knowing about this saliva smell. For The Body Works, the scent should be everything, but because of this saliva smell, I'm giving it 3 points. - dp********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJan 20, 2021
It absorbs smoothly without any sticky feeling. The design is beautiful. I had high hopes for the fragrance, but to my disappointment, it smells like stale snack food. I can't even pinpoint what went wrong. I'm not sure if I'll get used to it with continued use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 19, 2020
This product is one of a kind! I used the peach scent, and it's truly amazing. The fragrance lasts for so long, and the hydration without stickiness stays with you. I buy it through direct overseas purchase, and it's really worth it. It's challenging to buy because it's only available through overseas purchase. I'll have to check if it's available at Olive Young stores. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 15, 2020
The fragrance is so delightful that I've been purchasing it directly from overseas. Since Bath & Body Works only offers Vanilla Bean Noel here, I'll leave my review for this product. I absolutely adore scents like Gingham, and I find their fragrances far superior to Korean products. The hydrating formula absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling moisturized. The ingredients are less impressive than I anticipated. To create such wonderful scents, they likely use numerous components beyond just fragrances. For expectant mothers, I'd recommend opting for organic alternatives. 1. They often run 3+3 promotions, so buying three items gets you three free. It's a great deal to take advantage of. 2. I suggest matching your body wash and lotion scents for a cohesive experience. 3. Their candles and diffusers are also worth trying.
