The cooling effect on the scalp is no joke. Unlike other conditioners that cause blemishes when applied to the scalp, this product has been fine for 7 days of use so far, even when it touches the scalp! The refreshing scent (peppermint or menthol?) is delightful! It's not overpowering and dissipates after rinsing, which I love. However, those who prefer strong fragrances might have mixed feelings about it. After using it for a week, my hair texture has become noticeably softer! The squeeze bottle packaging is a bit inconvenient to use. Other than that, I can't think of any drawbacks! - hi*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresJan 31, 2021
The moment you apply it, your tangled hair gets instantly detangled as if by magic. It's truly amazing! They say it's even safe to use on the scalp. They claim it's safe for the scalp, but the ingredients aren't any different from other conditioners, so I can't trust that. The scent is rather odd, thankfully it disappears when you dry your hair. It takes a long time to rinse out. The area around the bottle opening gets messy easily. The ingredients list is quite alarming. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedOct 9, 2020
I'm using this with the Nioxin No. 2 shampoo. I use them together because I'm worried the shampoo alone might not be as effective. I'm really satisfied with this product as it has improved my seborrheic dermatitis. Unlike other conditioners I've used before, which I only applied to my hair to avoid the scalp, this one is meant to be applied to the scalp too. It's so convenient that I can just apply it carelessly without worrying. Like the shampoo, the fragrance leaves something to be desired. With the shampoo, I sometimes accidentally squeezed out too much, which was wasteful. But this has a different texture, so it doesn't come out in large amounts. Still, a pump dispenser would make it more convenient to use. - ri***Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 24, 2020
Advantages: - Great conditioner for managing oily scalps - Excellent routine for strong hair and scalp care: scalp cleansing → hair hydration → scalp nourishment - Subtle fragrance suitable for both men and women - Shampoo provides a refreshing feeling during washing due to its cooling effect - Hair stays relatively fresh even into the afternoon Texture & Fragrance: - Conditioner: • Off-white with a subtle mint hue, not too runny but slightly thick consistency • Same scent as the shampoo Effectiveness & Finish: - Conditioner: • Provides moisture to dry hair, making it softer when shampoo alone isn't enough • Light enough for those hesitant about using conditioners, leaving hair feeling fresh, hydrated, and tangle-free for a long time Disadvantages: - May be slightly drying for those with dry scalps - The shampoo's fragrance doesn't last very long - Doesn't provide an extremely smooth and calm feeling, as expected from a product for oily hair - Price in relation to the quantity It works well when used as a kit from the same line, especially in combination with the Dia Booster. The conditioner really helps to calm oily hair and make it less dry, so if you have a dry scalp but dry hair, it might be better to use this product along with others. - od*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedSep 10, 2020
It seems to help prevent my hair from getting greasy in the summer. When using conditioner or treatment, it's inevitable that some gets on the scalp, but unlike other products that make my hair oily, this one noticeably reduces oil buildup. It's great for light use and perfect for summer or those with extremely oily scalps. The scent is not overpowering, just a pleasantly mild mint fragrance. Really, it's just right - a gentle mint scent that's not too strong! To be honest, I was already mentally prepared when I saw it was a scalp conditioner. I figured it probably wouldn't improve my hair texture much. I just hoped it wouldn't make my hair too stiff... And sure enough, my expectations were met. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 1, 2020
After using this conditioner, my hair feels cool and refreshingly invigorated. I have permed hair, and after using this product, my hair became excessively stiff. I even had to use another rinse after applying this conditioner. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 10, 2020
It's convenient to use. Like it's meant for the scalp, both the shampoo and conditioner from Hwahae seem to emphasize a refreshing feel. I enjoyed the pleasant, invigorating sensation they left. After about two weeks of use, I've noticed less hair fall, so I think it's effective. The conditioner ran out faster than the shampoo in the trial kit. For those with long hair who use more product, the composition doesn't seem well thought out. The volume is also quite small. As I mentioned in my shampoo review, they should either provide more generous amounts or offer various sizes - small and large. When one product runs out, it's best to use the whole line together, so for regular users, selling only large sizes individually and small sizes in sets isn't very practical. It would be more convenient to be able to repurchase small sizes of products that run out in the small set, but that option isn't readily available. Keep using it consistently! - te*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 30, 2020
Without a shred of exaggeration, I've found my holy grail shampoo. I've already repurchased the large size! Nioxin offers product lines numbered 1 through 6, each targeting different scalp and hair concerns. I used Line 2, which is designed for those already dealing with fine, thinning hair. Let me describe my scalp and hair condition: Up until my teens, I had a dry scalp with some dead skin cells, incredibly thick hair, and loads of volume. However, in my 20s, especially in recent years, my scalp has gradually become oily, leading to hair loss, intense itching, and excessive sebum production. To be honest, I've spent most of my life worrying about having too much hair, so I never paid much attention to hair or scalp care. I focused on products for damaged hair ends rather than those beneficial for the scalp. Recently, I realized the importance of scalp care and, fortunately, had the opportunity to try Nioxin products. It's a treatment similar to a conditioner, but unlike typical products for damaged hair, this is a scalp-specific nourishing treatment that can be applied directly to the scalp, much like shampoo. The difference between using it and not using it was striking, and I believe it plays a crucial role in overall scalp care. Since it's a bit pricey, I recommend trying the shampoo first. If it works well for you, then consider exploring their other products. When using it on both scalp and hair, the product does run out quickly. I suggest buying the large size to make it last longer. - si*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 27, 2020
Nioxin 2 is designed for damaged normal hair, aiming to care for healthy and elastic locks. The 3-piece set includes shampoo, conditioner, and treatment. What's really interesting is how you use them: The shampoo is applied as we all know - massage it into your hair for about a minute. But the conditioner can actually be applied to the scalp too! You massage it in and then rinse. The treatment is even more unique - after towel-drying, you apply it mainly to the scalp and throughout the hair, and you don't even need to rinse it out! Isn't that fascinating? I was skeptical at first, thinking 'What's this all about?!' But I decided to try it as directed for two weeks before sharing my review. Using all products with a focus on the scalp, I noticed a significant cooling effect! The scent is reminiscent of toothpaste - not just a simple mint, but more like 'Wow, this is totally toothpaste!' It also lathers up nicely, making it easy to use. The whole hair-washing experience felt refreshingly cool and invigorating. The idea of applying conditioner to the scalp was surprising, but it has a texture similar to regular treatments. When applied thoroughly, it really softened my hair. The treatment comes in a spray bottle, similar to the Aromatica Rosemary Root Enhancer if you're familiar with that. You mainly spray it on the scalp and let it absorb. After two weeks of use, I noticed less hair fall when brushing and fewer tangles. The cleansing power seems good too - when I wash in the morning, there's hardly any scalp odor the next day. I'm definitely considering repurchasing! One downside is the small product size. The shampoo and conditioner are only 150ml each, which is much less than the standard 500ml. It's a bit disappointing, but everything else about the products is great.
