This is the only product that hasn't caused a reaction on my super sensitive skin. It's gentle and has excellent cleansing effectiveness. While it cleanses well, I feel it doesn't manage sebum production effectively. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 19, 2024
I really liked how gentle it was with minimal skin irritation. I've been using cleansing milks often lately, and I definitely recommend this one. You absolutely need to double cleanse with this, especially when you've worn makeup. It's disappointing that it doesn't effectively remove sebum. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJul 5, 2023
I've been getting blemishes and struggling with removing sebum when using cleansing oils, so I tried a cleansing milk for the first time. While I can't compare it to other cleansing milks, based on my experience: It's incredibly hydrating You can visibly see the impurities on the cotton pad after cleansing Even after rinsing with water and double cleansing, my skin doesn't feel stripped of moisture There's a slight firming effect on the skin...? It leaves skin feeling fresh while maintaining hydration I'm using this cleansing milk with a cleansing device, and I've noticed a significant reduction in sebum and even the occasional pimple has stopped appearing! It really shows how important proper cleansing is. The price is a bit high, and you need to use more product than expected for each use (about the size of a walnut, or two pumps). I was hoping to use it instead of an exfoliating toner to remove blackheads on my nose, but it doesn't work as well as I'd hoped for sebum removal. It seems to remove surface sebum but doesn't quite reach the deeper layers. I've heard that after massaging it in, you can gently wipe with a damp cotton pad and then rinse with water, eliminating the need for a second cleanse. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 23, 2022
Since it's a cleansing milk, it's incredibly gentle and seems suitable for all skin types. I loved how it cleanses softly without any irritation. While it would be perfect for those with dry skin, its light and gentle cleansing action might disappoint combination dehydrated or oily skin types. It doesn't quite manage to remove light sebum or dead skin cells, which is a bit of a letdown. For best results, pump it twice onto dry hands and face, massage it in, then rinse off. A second cleanse is a must. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 29, 2022
This has become my go-to cleanser. Even when I get bored and try others, I always end up coming back to this one. Many milk-type cleansers don't emulsify well, leaving residue or causing skin irritation, but this one is light, gentle, and has great cleansing effectiveness. While it's a limitation of milk-type cleansers in general, it's a bit lacking in sebum control. Make sure to emulsify it thoroughly, just as you would with a cleansing oil. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 19, 2021
I originally used oil for cleansing, but when my dermatologist recommended switching to milk, I made a quick change. It's incredibly gentle on sensitive skin. I don't get any blemishes at all. It's somewhat disappointing in terms of sebum removal and makeup cleansing effectiveness. The price is also a bit high. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2021
I bought this product because of its gentle ingredients and positive reviews, especially for when my skin is sensitive. This cleanser taught me that even if a product has good ingredients, it might not work for me. It didn't seem to effectively remove sebum from my pores, which led to blemishes. I eventually stopped using it and gave it to a friend. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 15, 2021
The emulsion blends well. It's gentle, making it pleasant to use. This is my first time trying a cream, and it feels softer and lighter than oil. I'm not sure yet. I don't feel like it's dissolving sebum as claimed. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 19, 2021
1. Gentle on skin While removing makeup, it felt comfortable on my skin and wasn't heavy or suffocating like some oils. After gently massaging, emulsifying with water, and rinsing off, my skin felt smooth without any tingling or itching. I followed up with foam cleansing, and my skin still felt great. 2. Improves skin texture I kept my entire skincare routine the same, only switching my first cleanser to Bioderma's cleansing milk, and my skin texture became incredibly smooth and soft. It's not just gentle; it seems to benefit skin health too. I initially bought one 500ml bottle, but it was so good that I stocked up during the current Hwahae sale. I want to give a bottle to my sister who also has sensitive skin. I've always been curious about cleansing milk since I only saw cleansing milk and foam at dermatology clinics and spas. I wondered if it was better than cleansing water or oil. Upon research, I found that for sensitive skin, cleansing milk is recommended over oils or waters. I was searching for genuine reviews, not just from The Hwahae Testers, and was considering a product only available at dermatology clinics when I discovered Bioderma's cleansing milk on Hwahae. The overall reviews were good, so I tried it and I'm extremely satisfied. After cleansing, there's no tightness, and even before applying other products, my skin feels smooth with deep hydration. It makes me wonder why I didn't switch to cleansing milk sooner. I think Bioderma really suits me, and I'm truly, truly satisfied. At first, the texture was different from oil and felt awkward, but the application method is the same as cleansing oil. Once I got used to the texture, I found it comfortable on my skin, effective at cleansing, and quicker to rinse off compared to oil. It doesn't give that deep pore-cleansing feeling like oils do, but it's less irritating and cleanses well, so I don't really mind. I'll still use oil occasionally when I want that deep cleanse. Highly recommended for those who can't give up makeup despite skin issues from mask-wearing. When cleansing water is too drying and oil is too irritating, this is perfect. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 7, 2020
I had this product sitting unused because I didn't like it initially, but after following Hwahae's recommendation to use it without a second cleanse, my skin feels much softer and more hydrated. My damaged skin barrier has significantly improved. While it's hard to attribute the effects solely to this cleanser since I also switched to water cleansing in the morning and added a hydrating essence for deep dryness, I'm just happy that I can manage my super sensitive skin with redness and eczema-like symptoms using only skincare products instead of relying on ointments. Using this alone doesn't effectively remove sebum from the nose area. I haven't tried it with heavy makeup, so I can't comment on its cleansing effectiveness. I think it's beneficial to alternate with a cleansing oil every 2-3 days to help remove sebum more effectively.
