It's perfect for hot weather - lightweight and refreshing without any stickiness. It gives a subtle glow and adheres well to the skin. I love that it's not sticky at all and doesn't cause my makeup to pill. The scent is delightfully fresh too! The product seems to last forever, and the amount you get is absolutely generous! The packaging isn't really my style... it looks a bit cheap. - kv****Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJan 28, 2021
The stick format means no worries about it melting into your eyes, allowing for thorough application even on the eyelids. Its moisturizing and refreshing feel, coupled with a delightful scent, makes each application a pleasure. There's absolutely no white cast, and it seems to provide excellent sun protection. It's such a satisfying product that there's hardly anything to criticize. If I had to nitpick, when I first started using it, the inner lid would touch the sunstick, causing the edges to crumble a bit. It's crucial to apply sunstick evenly, so go over each area twice. For contoured areas like the bridge of your nose, gently spread it with your fingers. While the sunstick's non-transferring quality is a plus, you can't avoid using your hands for the nose area. - ji*********Combination SkinRecommendedSep 24, 2020
It doesn't irritate my eyes and absorbs well. I love that it's not greasy. The coverage is practically non-existent. You should use this solely for sun protection. - rn****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 3, 2019
It's incredibly lightweight! The absorption is great, it feels like you're wearing nothing at all... that kind of application! I'm not sure about its soothing effects, but I didn't experience any blemishes. The cute packaging makes me happy every time I use it, and it's flat so it's convenient to carry in your pocket. I also liked the natural scent (like a forest...), though it might be a matter of personal preference. When it's on sale, the price is quite reasonable, and I appreciate that it's not greasy at all. There's nothing particularly bad... Drawbacks... Drawbacks... Hmm, it doesn't pill or make my makeup look patchy, so... I can't think of any. It's a decent product for its price. - kj*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 1, 2019
I tried this product from a Powder Room box! First off, the ingredients are really gentle. When looking for sunscreen, I'm most concerned about the ingredients and stickiness, and this one passed both tests! The wide, flat shape makes it easy to quickly apply to your face, arms, and legs with just a few swipes. The way you dispense the product is quite unique and fun! The white part at the bottom rotates 360 degrees, like a revolving door. The moisturizing effect lasts quite a while after application, and it's not very sticky. The downside might be the scent... It smells exactly like sweet and sour lemon candy, but it's not subtle at all. It's so strong that you might feel like you're applying candy to your body! Don't throw away the cap! You need to close it after each use. It says so in the instructions. I almost threw mine away by mistake! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMay 20, 2019
This sunscreen is absolutely amazing! It's a game-changer compared to regular sunscreens that feel heavy and suffocating. There's no white cast, and it's so hydrating that my makeup applies beautifully over it. I'm truly impressed! I honestly can't think of any downsides. If I had to nitpick, maybe it attracts a bit of dust? But that's really stretching it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2019
This is seriously so amazing! There aren't many reviews, and I'm worried it might be discontinued, so I'm sharing my experience. This is honestly my holy grail sunscreen (sun stick)! I wear makeup almost daily, so I rarely use sunscreen on its own. For me, sunscreen is just a base before makeup. That's why I prioritize products that don't interfere with my makeup. Examples of interference include: - Sunscreens that feel heavy and suffocating, making skin feel even thicker with makeup - White cast affecting foundation color (sometimes making it too white or grayish) - Excess oil causing makeup to break down faster - Matte or gel formulas that feel nice and dry at first, but lead to deep dryness after makeup application - Sun sticks with poor absorption that require multiple layers, resulting in pilling when applying makeup (like using too much primer) If a sunscreen has even one of these issues, it's unusable for me. (I already have 4 abandoned sun sticks and countless sunscreams...) I had found a decent product, but its SPF was only 35, so I wasn't fully satisfied. Then, while buying Banila Co's new foundation, I saw this hydrating sun stick and decided to try it. And wow... it's incredible. I've never used a sun stick that applies so smoothly, thinly, and with perfect hydration (not excessive at all) before makeup. Not only does it not interfere with makeup, it actually seems to make my makeup look better! It doesn't feel oily like typical sun care products, but instead feels purely hydrating! It's like applying a moisturizer. The best part is that this hydration lasts even after applying makeup. It keeps my skin feeling moisturized deep down (I have combination dehydrated skin prone to deep dryness). With such a high SPF, it's truly a holy grail product! Please, you have to try it! There's honestly nothing to complain about... Even the packaging is so pretty! Oh, well, the amount might be a bit small... But since it's a high-moisture product, keeping it too long might cause the moisture to evaporate. We probably shouldn't have too much product if we want to use it up before the moisture escapes... (Am I rationalizing too much? Haha) I don't know, I just love everything about it! I'm not sure if this is a pro tip, but I use this with Banila Co's new foundation, and it's an absolutely perfect combination! I bought this with my own money and I'm sharing my honest experience. I have no affiliation with Banila Co whatsoever! There are other versions of the Hello Sunny sun stick, but make sure you get the Aqua version! Whether you have dry, combination dehydrated, or oily skin, I think everyone will be satisfied with this one! The photo shows my completed makeup after using the sun stick (Doesn't it look smooth? But it feels super hydrated underneath!)
