Skin type: I have extremely dry skin all over my body, requiring hand cream even in the peak of summer. Come winter, I've tried many hand creams famous for moisturizing, but I'm still a hand cream nomad searching for the perfect match. Packaging: I knew Tone 28 was an eco-conscious brand, and I found the paper packaging for the hand cream refreshing. I always cut open my hand cream tubes to use every last drop, but with this one, I found it empties cleanly. It feels like I'm using it more efficiently than regular hand creams. Texture: The formula has a hydrating feel and absorbs quickly after a few rubs. As a busy parent, I often get cuts on my hands, but thanks to the centella asiatica extract in this cream, my skin seems to heal faster. Scent: I received this hand cream as a gift when I had my first child. Now, I gift it to friends who are expecting. When caring for a newborn, you wash your hands more frequently, and scented products can bother sensitive babies. Being fragrance-free, I can apply this cream generously without worry. Hydration: (In my opinion) It's not a product I use expecting extraordinary moisturizing power. However, frequent application does seem to provide slightly better hydration than applying it just once. This makes a great gift for new or expecting mothers. They often receive many baby items but rarely gifts for themselves. This hand cream could be a mood-lifting present that helps moms enjoy their parenting journey more. - j1*****Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsOct 28, 2024
The best thing was that it's fragrance-free. To be honest, I mainly bought Tone 28 products because I like the brand's philosophy. That was the biggest factor in my purchase decision. Also, it happened to be on sale at the time, so I bought it to get free shipping. Another advantage is that it absorbs quickly. It's an extremely light hand cream. First, I'm not sure if the paper is recyclable. The inside doesn't seem to be paper, probably because the hand cream would soak it. I think only the outside is paper, which is disappointing. More importantly, the packaging is inconvenient for carrying in a bag. It's bulky, and I worry it might tear if it gets wet. A few days ago, I actually cut my hand slightly on this package, and now my hand stings... I forgot how easily paper can cut skin. The hydration is also lacking. My hands feel dry again quickly, and I forget I've even applied hand cream, so I end up reapplying often, which uses up the product faster. The product itself is quite expensive too. Anyway, this purchase was a good experience, but I don't think I'll buy it again. If you want to buy it, wait for a sale. Be careful when using it, as you might get a small cut if you accidentally brush against it with dry hands. - pl**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRednessRecommendedOct 1, 2024
I really enjoyed the pleasant texture, hydrating effect, and lack of fragrance. The only minor inconvenience was getting used to the square paper container at first, which felt a bit unfamiliar to use initially. - 20****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 14, 2024
I've been using the Tone 28 hand cream for years now. First off, I love that it's unscented, and I feel reassured by its safe ingredients. The hydration is excellent too, keeping my hands moisturized for a long time. I plan to keep using it with confidence! Occasionally, there's some excess that flakes off like white powder. Since it's in a paper case, the opening can tear if you carry it in your pocket. Despite this, I continue to use it because the product itself is so good! - dd******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 23, 2023
I love that it's fragrance-free and not sticky at all. The eco-friendly packaging is a big plus too! The size is a bit too bulky for on-the-go use, and the price is downright wicked. - ww******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 8, 2023
Lately, I've been drawn to unscented hand creams! The texture is pleasantly moisturizing, which I really like. The packaging is also pretty, making it a great gift option. The product runs out surprisingly quickly. I suppose it's not exactly a budget-friendly item... - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedFeb 11, 2023
I loved how light and refreshing it felt, without being greasy. The hydration was pretty decent too. The size is a bit on the larger side, which makes it slightly inconvenient to carry around. It's not unscented - there's a distinct herbal fragrance. - kl****Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJan 15, 2023
The ingredients are gentle and there's no stinging sensation when applied. The texture is somewhere between a water and a cream, and it absorbs well into the skin. It's a bit tricky to control the amount when using. A lot comes out at once. Also, as someone who works in the food service industry, my hands are quite rough. I felt it lacked a bit in terms of hydration or nourishment, you could say. The lasting power seems a bit weak. - gp*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 24, 2022
I received this as a gift and I'm really impressed. The eco-friendly paper packaging is a nice touch. I love that it has great ingredients and is fragrance-free. The texture is quite fluid! Despite being 45ml and runny, it's lasting much longer than I expected. I've been using it daily and generously for months, which is surprisingly long-lasting. The price is steep... I wonder if the cost of packaging this runny liquid in a paper pouch inevitably drives up the price? - al**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 8, 2022
- No plastic waste is produced - Absorbs quickly without feeling sticky - As a beauty industry professional, my hands often crack and itch, but I rarely use hand cream at work. However, I would likely use this product - The ingredients are so good that it can be applied to a baby's face and hands - I strongly dislike scented products, so I love that this is fragrance-free - While it's not extremely hydrating, I'm satisfied with the level of moisture it provides given its natural ingredients - When I opened the package, instead of plastic or vinyl waste, there was an enormous amount of paper waste. Honestly, as a consumer, it's hard to tell what's truly environmentally friendly - The container is very inconvenient. The instructions say to squeeze from the bottom, but doing so caused it to spill everywhere. You need to gently squeeze from the opening - While the ingredients are good, the price is too high for the amount you get. For someone like me who uses a hand cream every three days, it's a luxury I can only afford during Olive Young sales
