At first, I wasn't sure if it was working, but gradually I noticed I was getting fewer blemishes. I used to get breakouts on my cheeks all the time, but since using this, I haven't had a single one there. Sure, I still got the occasional spot on my forehead or chin, but compared to before, there was a noticeable reduction in breakouts, which made me super happy. It absorbs quickly and has a light, toner-like consistency, so it didn't feel heavy on my combination dehydrated skin. If you're struggling with blemishes, I highly recommend adding this to your skincare routine. I was curious about all the hype, so I gave it a try, and now I understand why everyone's raving about it. It's gentle enough to use even when your skin is acting up, and I think it would work well for all skin types. I'm definitely going to keep buying this.
ConsThe only downside is that the watery consistency can make it a bit tricky to apply at first - it tends to run quickly. But don't worry, you'll get the hang of it with practice. Honestly, that's the only con I experienced while using this product.
TipI noticed that if you're too stingy with the product, you might not see the best results. My application method is to use about three lines on my cheeks and forehead, and two lines on my nose and chin, then spread it all over. Just make sure you're covering your whole face. If you use this amount consistently, you'll start to see visible improvements. For the best routine, cleanse your face, apply this product, follow up with your serum, and finish with moisturizer.

Among anti-aging products containing EGF, this one has a light and thin texture, making it perfect for use in the first step of your skincare routine. It absorbs quickly into the skin without any stickiness, leaving a fresh, moisturized feeling without being heavy. This makes it ideal as a booster before applying serum. You can use it comfortably without irritation, and it has a calming effect even on days when your skin feels sensitive. That's why I consistently include it in my daily skincare routine.
ConsDue to the nature of the EGF ingredient, it requires careful storage, so it comes in a dark glass bottle with a dropper. However, because the formula is so thin, it can feel wasteful when it runs down the neck of the bottle. As a result, I ended up transferring it to an empty mist bottle for use, which is a bit inconvenient in terms of product application. Also, being a high-performance product, it's on the pricier side, which might be a concern for some.
TipI use this product first in my skincare routine, right after toner. By transferring it to a mist bottle and spraying it generously over my entire face, then gently pressing it in with my hands, I find it absorbs more evenly and with less waste compared to using the dropper. Especially on days when my skin needs soothing or barrier repair, layering this product once more noticeably improves my skin texture by the next morning!

It's great to use as the first step in your skincare routine. While I'm not sure if I can visibly see effects like blemish reduction, it seems to be excellent for combating deep dryness, so I keep stocking up and using it.
ConsThe texture is really watery, so it runs easily and gets used up quickly.

Dear, Klairs has been a brand I've loved for ages, even when it wasn't widely available. I've been hooked on their toner and have tried many of their products since. I must have gone through at least 6 bottles of the toner alone. While I've had issues with many products due to my acne-prone skin, this brand's offerings have generally been non-irritating and a pleasure to use. I started using the Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop soon after its release. Given its price point, I couldn't use it consistently at first, so I'd use it sparingly, take a break, then repurchase. It was a cycle of buying and savoring. I was thrilled when it started getting lots of mentions as a recommended product on YouTube. There are two main reasons why I kept coming back to it. Firstly, it has a toner-like serum texture that works wonderfully for my oily skin. I can apply it generously at any time during my skincare routine without it clogging my pores or feeling heavy. Secondly, it subtly improved my skin. While it didn't provide significant soothing effects, it left my skin feeling comfortable. I also noticed it seemed to help with fine lines, which kept me coming back for more. (As a side note, I found the cream from the same line even more soothing due to its cooling effect.) Now, here's why it's become my can't-live-without product! While the reasons above are great, what really sealed the deal was its effectiveness in treating my seborrheic dermatitis and folliculitis over the past year or two. After developing seborrheic dermatitis, I went from dermatologist to dermatologist, even visiting university hospitals. While there was some improvement, things would always get worse again. I tried various medications and spot treatments, paid extra attention to my skincare routine, but everything seemed to make my skin worse. Then, I tried mixing the Acne Spot Gel with my toner, and for the first time, I felt my skin improving. After using this combination for a while, I thought about adding the Midnight Blue Drop since it's non-irritating and helps with skin recovery. When I did, my skin improved dramatically. These days, I apply either a mix of the Spot Gel and Midnight Drop or just the Midnight Drop alone on my cheeks (where the seborrheic dermatitis is), and use other skincare products on the rest of my face. Even applying a little too much of anything else on my cheeks can trigger folliculitis, but this product provides enough hydration that I don't experience dryness even in winter.
Cons◇ The small size and price. It runs out so quickly, even when I'm trying to use it sparingly on just my cheeks. I wish it would go on sale more often so I could stock up... ◇ The watery texture means it can run down your face if you're not careful, so you need to apply it quickly. But I've gotten used to this quirk...
TipFor oily skin, it's great as a lightweight toner replacement or for summer use. For sensitive skin, it's generally non-irritating and perfect for use on its own when your skin feels overwhelmed by too many products. It's hydrating enough that you could use it alone or just add a moisturizing cream. For seborrheic dermatitis and folliculitis, it can help soothe active flare-ups and aid in skin regeneration when things start to improve, so it's worth a try. As a reference, I mix about a nail-sized amount of Neutrogena Acne Spot Gel with 3-4 drops of the Midnight Drop for both cheeks. I mix them to ensure even application of the small but potent amount of spot gel. If it stings, use less, and adjust the amount based on the area you're covering. You can apply more of the Midnight Drop without worry - it won't cause blemishes or feel heavy no matter how much you use.

This time, I tried the Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drops I've been curious about for a while. To cut to the chase, it's like a booster serum that gently refines skin texture without causing irritation. ✔ Skin Type: Combination & Blemish-prone ✔ Usage Period: About 2 weeks ✔ Routine: Blue Drops → Hydrating Serum → Cream 💧 Texture & Feel It has a clear, watery consistency that absorbs really smoothly into the skin. It finishes without any stickiness, leaving a fresh feel. It absorbs quickly, making it perfect for layering with other products without pilling. 🌿 Key Benefits & Noticeable Changes - Skin texture feels much smoother, and deep dryness seems reduced - Quickly calms the skin when applied on sensitive or flushed days - Helps fade redness and blemish marks 📌 With its gentle and antioxidant-rich ingredients, it seems especially suitable for those looking to softly start preventing skin aging. 💧 Overall Impression It gives the feeling of quietly but effectively boosting skin condition. It's perfect as a daily booster serum, offering texture refinement, soothing effects, and light hydration all at once without irritation. I think this will become a go-to product for days when my skin feels sensitive or when it needs that extra comfort.
ConsThe runny consistency makes it a bit tricky to apply. I'd recommend using it in a mist bottle.
TipFor those with combination dehydrated skin or super sensitive skin, this serum could be a game-changer in your skincare routine. Its ability to absorb well without leaving any sticky residue makes it ideal for layering under other products. The soothing properties can help with redness and irritation, while also providing a nice glow to the complexion. Remember, a little goes a long way with this product, so start with a small amount and adjust as needed for your skin's needs.

The soothing effect is pretty good too.
ConsThis stuff is seriously runnier than water... If you accidentally spill it on your clothes, you'll need to immediately treat it with baking soda or throw it in the washing machine. The pigment is really hard to remove. The value for money is a bit disappointing.
TipHighly recommend using this as a first serum before applying a sheet mask.

ConsThe price, and also The runny texture requires quick hands If you're slow, it'll drip down your neck
TipUse this before your toner For extremely oily skin. This product - Innisfree Trouble Toner - is a serum with no stickiness at all It's great to use these three basic products to prevent excessive oil production

Although it seems a bit pricey, I'll be repurchasing it.
ConsIt's not great value for money. The formula is so watery that it runs off easily, leading to quick use-up. Considering this, it seems overpriced.

It absorbs in just 2 seconds and definitely has a calming effect on redness.
ConsThe only downside is... it's so watery that you might lose some precious drops.
TipThe trick is to place the dropper right on your face and quickly pat it in with your other hand to help it absorb.

Absorbs well into the skin. Fragrance-free. After about two weeks of use, I noticed my redness appeared less visible.
ConsIt's quite runny, so you need to apply it quickly. Otherwise, it might get into your eyes or drip onto the floor. Such a waste!
TipFor even better results, try using it together with the Blue Calming Cream!
